Third Floor Common Room - Saturday, Late morning/early afternoon

After taking a shower, Tori made her way to the common room. She turned on the television, finding some cartoons to watch.

It was a Saturday afternoon and there wasn't really anything good on the television, so cartoons it was.

Tori made a bowl of popcorn and sat down on the couch, trying to pass the time before the party.

Walter wandered in, bemusedly examining his new schedule. Arthur was an odd, odd man.

"Hi. Not Bitterwoman?" he asked, pointing to the TV. "I thought it was always Bitterwoman"

"Hey." Tori smiled. "Bitterwoman?"

"It's a television program that seems to be constantly on the television." He leaned over to grab the remote. "Here, let me show you."

Because somewhere on one of the stations was guaranteed to be Bitterwoman.

After Jamie's words about getting out the other day, Hermione decides to bring her book out to the common room to read. After all, she can always leave if it gets too noisy.

She gives the new girl a little "Hello" and sits in one of the chairs with her book.

"Hey there." Tori smiled, and waved. "Popcorn?" She offered.

"Oh, no thank you," she says. She glances towards the television and asks, "What are you watching?"

Alanna was in a good mood. Faithful? Not so much.

"Hey Alanna." Tori waved from the couch.

"Tori! I can't remember if you met Faithful yet or not." Or which new kid you are. Alanna added in her head.

Walter waved to Alanna. "Hey. How has your break been?"

After some pleasant conversation with his roommate, Chris decided to put aside his studying and go wandering. He was carrying a mug of coffee as he entered the common room.

"Hey, everyone," he waved with his free hand.

Tori looked up to see Chris. "Hey!" She smiled and waved from the couch.

"Hi, Tori," Chris smiled and took a seat in an empty chair. "How's it going?"

Walter waved. "Hey new person."

"Hi, I assume you're an old person," Chris replied. "I'm Chris Halliwell."

Annette was wandering around, as wandering people do, feeling very unproductive. She was a bit forelorn and couldn't place the mood at all - maybe she was finally feeling a little homesick.

Glancing over at everyone in the room, she walked towards the tv, and said, "Hey, guys." And she sat down on the floor to see what was on.

"Hey Annette." Tori beamed. "Popcorn?" She offered, turning away from Xiaolin Showdown.

"Hey, Tori." Annette offered her a little smile and plucked a few pieces from the bowl. "What you watching here?"

Walter glanced away from the cartoons he wasn't really watching while his mind wandered. "Hi, Annette."

Hermione looks up from her book at the new girl, giving her a little smile. "Hello."

"Oh, people," Haruhi thought aloud. It occurred to her she shouldn't feel surprised about that, as the common rooms had always been busy since she arrived. "Hello."

Hermione looks up and notices it's starting to get busy in there. Yes, it took her this long to notice, because after all, book. But she looks up at the new person and waves a bit.

Barbara Gordon walks into the common room, laptop bag slung over her shoulder. It's full, but that's not surprising. The common room tends to be full pretty often. "Hey guys," she says to the room full of people that she does not know at all before snagging a seat on a pretty plush looking chair that's close enough to the tv so she can work and watch.
