The lobby, Evil Pink Pony Awareness party, Saturday evening

The lobby had been . . . well, decked out could be the term, possibly. . . . The floor was covered in some sort of black astroturf, the walls were festooned in black crepe paper. Black buckets filled with black water balloons and tables with black silly string were in the corners, and a black clothed table held pies and snacks, especially cupcakes, all chocolate, or otherwise . . . well . . . black.

The black banana cream pie was especially of interest.

There were signs to point out this was done with food coloring, and was not to be thought of as inedible.

Nadia herself was decked out in her blackest blacks, wearing a pin with a big black X over a pink pony with wings, and a banner read:

Defend yourself from the scourge of pink!

[ooc: very minimal OCD going is up. I will be afk for the next few hours attending a company holiday party, but will return asap as I don't really want to deal with all that for too long tonight. Anders will, hopefully, be along shortly as well. It's in the lobby so that teachers may also participate, and, yes, Nadia will be doing the clean up, afterwards, should folks decide to play with the water balloons and silly string. Other black "weaponry" may be modded at will]

Nadia shrugged. "The short version is that I'm a Russian-American who grew up in Argentina in an orphanage and then on the streets, who got arrested for shoplifting and sent here for punishment and rehabilitation."

Annette's eyes grew a little round at that. "I hope everything has worked out for you here then?"

"Oh, definitely. I'm not even on parole any more. Got the whole thing cleared up."

Annette gave her a winning smile. "Excellent! I'm very glad to hear it. I imagine Fandom would turn anybody around."

"Well, probably only if they want to turn around," Nadia said, thinking of Schrodinger. "But, if they do, it's a good place to do it."

"Good for me so far." Annette grinned. "I might feel different if I ever run into a troll or a gremlin."

She laughed. "Or that! I shudder at the thought but then think I better keep my voice really low, or someone out there will overhear my rebellion and use it against me."
