Marie realized that she hadn't met any new people yet. She had seen the signs for Anders and Nadia's party, but she didn't think she was ready to be quite that sociable yet.

So she settled in to the common room with some pizza and the season one Wendy the Werewolf Stalker DVDs that she had picked up ages ago and never watched.

And as Cassie has now exhausted her repertoire of talking about Wendy the Werewolf Stalker, she pauses again.

"Ummm, so, thanks for the pizza."

"You're welcome," Marie said. "So what year are you?"

"Freshman," Cassie said. "Kinda thought that would be obvious."

"One thing you'll learn really fast around here is to never assume anything," Marie said. "I'm a freshman, too. Actually, I'm one of the student council reps for our class."

"Oh, cool," Cassie said. "So if I come with any school ideas, I should come to you?"

"That's the theory," Marie nodded.

"Cool," Cassie said. "Not that I actually have any ideas yet. Haven't even had my first week of classes."
