Second Floor Common Room, Tuesday Evening

After realizing she hadn't taken her turn at feeding the voracious hordes recently, Zero made a trip down to Ching Tai and returned with prodigious amounts of Chinese takeout, which she set up in the common room. Then she helped herself to some ginger chicken and lounged around watching "Mighty Capin' Justice Magicians" on the TV. Her good deed for the day was done.

Zero hid her face in a pillow and mumbled, "I knew I forgot something."

"Don't worry about it. There's probably something in the kitchen if anyone gets thirsty," Peter said. "I was just checking."

She flailed. "There's, um...water! I'm sure there's water!"

"Zero. Don't worry about it," Peter said. "Seriously, water is good, and there are vending machines. Which you don't need to give people money for, so don't even think about it."

"But I could..."

"You could and if anyone wants something you can," Peter said. "But for now just sit back and relax, okay?"

"This is very good, by the way."

"I'll be sure to pass your compliments on to the chefs." Zero sat back and poked at her chicken with her chopsticks.

"Thanks," Peter said.

"Oh, by the way, I have not gotten any farther with that joke, but I'm still determined to make it work. Maybe they walk into a Chinese restaurant instead."
