Second Floor Common Room, Monday evening

Jim wandered out to the common room with a bowl of candy - which included a few Canary Creams from the joke shop mixed in there - and turned on the second night of the season premiere of 60. There might be dead terrorists on the screen and there might be people turning into giant birds in the common room. No matter what, Jim figured he was going to be entertained tonight.

He couldn't help but wonder who was playing the one guy. "I know I've seen him in something. Oh! Wait! The stoner movie! The guy from the White Castle movie!" Jim was way too excited about figuring that out.

[OOC: Open as a common room tends to be. There are a handful of Canary Creams in the candy bowl. If you want to eat one, feel free. You'll be a giant canary for the span of a comment or so. And 60 is, of course, 24. Unless somebody directs me to a different meta for it.

Also, I'm American. I didn't know about any Australian politicians named John Howard. But meta-Bauer has a slight Australian accent Australia has a meta-Bauer accent because of it, okay?]

Number 6 wasn't going to go in the Common Room until he saw Him. The plant. The tall, slightly overweight mastermind genius with the hair. He decided to play it cool.

"Hello," 6 said. "Lovely evening we're having, don't you think?"

"Yeah, definitely," Jim said. "You're in my Home Ec class, right?"

"I didn't think you'd even notice me. Yes, there I am, ready to learn every day. And yourself?" 6's powers of deceit weren't bad, but they did make him slightly sick. Ready to learn? Pft.

"Every day? That's dedication since the class only meets once a week," Jim said. "And it's the kind of class where we spent an hour decorating a box. I can't find anything wrong with that so far."

Dear God he's good. "Yes, well, by every day, I merely meant that I wish it were everyday. Because I have conformed so well to the institute. As you see." 6 made a sound that was somewhere between throat-clearing and his conscience attempting to crush his larynx.

"The institute?" Jim asked. "You mean the school?"

6 laughed too heartily. "VERY good, hahahaha. Like the school, yes. Where do you find that wit of yours?"

Parker waved and gave him a half-smile. "Hey, 6. HOw have you been?" Then she blinked at the TV screen. "Okay, seriously, they want him to team up with a terrorist?"

"Parker," 6 said, and left it at that. No need to get dragged into old alliances. Could be used against him. Crichton aside.
