Shooting range [after classes]
Rory being Rory, she didn't exactly know what to wear to this particular lesson. So she had just arrived at the shooting range in her sweats with her hair pulled back, and patiently waited for Luke.
[Rory's here for Luke, but open for all your gun range needs! And the contents of the conversation between Rory and Luke are NFB, please and thank you.]

"This is a blaster," he said. "They come in different sizes--Leia has one that's smaller, but I prefer one with a little more heft." He smiled. "I think it comes from growing up using the rifles, which are much bigger."

He smiled. "Try a few more shots at this range and I'll move the target back a bit. Most enemies won't be nice enough to get this close."

She fired.
She...utterly missed. "Damn. And yes, it's a good thing."

This time, she singed the edge of the target.
It wasn't much, but it was progress.

He put his hands over Rory's and sighted down the barrel over her shoulder. "The blaster shot moves ridiculously quickly. You don't have to compensate for wind speed or anything. Just...focus."
He pulled the trigger. Bulls-eye.
"Could you feel the difference?"

"I don't think I could ever shoot him," she said quietly. "But my having the ability is something he's not expecting."

He leaned over and nudged her blaster a little more to the left. "Better."
