School Grounds/Outside the Garage, Wednesday 3rd Period - After Lunch

Great, so after a fairly upsetting trip to the clinic, Anders had found out from Tori last night that Angela seemed to be missing. Then he'd stopped by the library after Spy Tech this morning to find out that Bridge hadn't made it in for his shift, which really wasn't like him. All of this was adding up to a big old ball of worrisome things, and now Anders was beyond waiting for the other shoe to fall; he was waiting for the entire shoe rack to cave in on his head.

But he still didn't have any clue where to start as far as figuring things out, and he was angry, frustrated, and scared. Not to mention feeling really gross from smoking his way through two packs of cigarettes last night.

So once he got back from the library he went up to his room to put on the leather riding gear, then headed down to the garage, where he climbed on his Glider, fired up the engines, and took off on a tense, breakneck-speed ride around the island several times, until he felt calm enough to think.

Which was exactly what he did -- while sitting cross-legged on his Glider outside the garage, making inroads on a new pack of cigarettes.

"It would." Tori nodded, hoping she was wrong but knowing deep down that it was most likely the right answer to what had occurred.

"I would've thought someone would have mentioned her before..." It was very strange. Tori knew they had to do something. "Well, we have to do something..." Get them back. Find Angela, too.

"Bridge never mentioned anything about knowing little kids around here. Cousins or anything. So why would one just show up and start asking people to help her find them?" Anders scowled. "I don't like it."

"Me either." Tori replied. "It makes no sense whatsoever."

Anders smacked himself in the forehead. "My brain is on crack today," he said suddenly. "I totally just told Rory that Bridge said the kid works for Emperor Gruumm, and then I forgot again. Bad things need to stop happening in bunches, I swear. Makes thinking impossible."

"It's understandable, what with everything that's happened up until now." Tori offered a small reassuring smile. She had a feeling things were going to get worse before they got better.

"Yeah." He took a deep breath. Think, Samuel. Focus. "Okay. Bridge hasn't been seen since yesterday afternoon. Luke says Z didn't come home last night either. So there's a possibility Gruumm's got them. I'll round a few people up after classes, see if anybody's seen or heard from them before we go running off to find them. And we can come up with a decent plan, or something."

"There is that possibility." Tori nodded. "Okay, that sounds like a plan. I'm all for that." What Anders had in mind sounded good to her.

"I'll probably be in my room for the rest of the day, seeing as I don't have another class until tomorrow. You can stop by if you want or give me a call?" Tori offered.

"Will do," Anders promised. "We gotta get 'em back."

"Thanks." Tori smiled. "We will." She hoped they would, and somehow knew that Bridge and Z would be found. "I'll see you later, then." Tori smiled once more and headed back towards the dorms.
