Polexia slept in late after her night out at Caritas.

But when she woke up, she was bored and ended up wandering down to the common room. She figured out how to work the television and was very excited to find something called MTV that was showing music videos.

She dug through the cabinets and fridge and found some suitable snacks and settled in to watch this fascinating thing.


[open, as common rooms are. Marie is Polexia from Almost Famous, so she's from the early 70s. She also doesn't have Marie's mutation, so she's not covered up and she can touch people.]

Peter raised an eyebrow as he didn't recognise the voice then glanced the other boy over. "Hel-lo to you."

"How's it going?" Cameron asked, only barely keeping from asking questions about exploding hair products.

He pouted. "Not too well. But it's looking up."

Cameron blinked as he really hadn't ever seen Peter pout at him. "At least that's something. What's up?"

Peter eyed Cameron. "Nothing yet. Want to find out what could?"

The innuendo completely passed Cameron by as he wasn't expecting anything like that coming from Peter. "You think there's something going to happen?" he asked, wondering if whatever had been attacking people was after Peter too.

"The night's still early," Peter drawled. "Anything could still happen."

"I suppose," Cameron frowned as Peter didn't seem to be worried about anything happening so maybe he was wrong. "Just as long as it's nothing bad."

Peter smirked. "Oh, I'm never bad."

Blink. "No, of course not. That wasn't what I meant," Cameron said quickly, not sure why he was saying it.

"Wanna see?" Peter asked.

"Uh... I know that you're good? We lived in the same cabin, remember?" If only he knew how that sounded.

Peter grinned and took a step closer. "No, I'm sure I'd remember you."

For some reason, Cameron was starting to feel a little less comfortable. "You don't remember me? Did you hit your head? I can take you to the clinic."

"I'm okay with playing doctor," Peter drawled. "If that's what you want."

Yeah, even Cameron couldn't deny that that remark could have a double meaning. "No, that's fine. I'm not too fond of clinics. I like restaurants better. Did you eat anything good lately?"

"Not since last night," Peter remarked.

"Maybe you should try eating something," Cameron suggested. "It might help."

"Not been the best day for that," Peter replied, getting amused at the other boy's refusal to understand.

"I'm sure there's something in the fridge," Cameron suggested, motioning towards the kitchen.

Peter stared. "Food costs extra," he said automatically.

"No, the food in the common room is free for everyone," Cameron corrected.

"It's a shame you're so dense," Peter purred. "Because you're very pretty. Not as pretty as the other one, but then you don't have a uniform."

"Crichton is pudgier," was the automatic response, ignoring the dense remark. "Why's he wearing a uniform?"

Peter shook his head. "Like I know. Street took him off."
