School Grounds - Late Morning
For the most part Neil had been able to avoid the strangeness from this past weekend and he was fairly grateful for this fact. However, after both his notebook and his desk lamp both turned into pies (coconut creme and blueberry respectively) he decided that it was time to get out of the dorm for a little bit.
Changing in to shorts a thermal shirt and sweatshirt, Neil went down to the gym and hunted up a soccer ball then he headed out onto an open grassy spot outside. Sure it was cold out but the sun was shinning and what was cold for this area was positively tropical for someone used to Vermont winters.
"No changing into a pie." He muttered at the ball as he dropped it onto his knee for a couple of bounces before letting it fall down between his sneakers. A little exercise might be just the thing...and in the meantime, if his schoolwork would stop turning into a pie, Neil would be okay with that also!
[open! As I celebrate the lack of auditors and general annoying management today. :)]

He grinned at the other boy, thanking God he didn't remember him from the weekend. "Neil, right? Going to play some football?"
no subject
"Hello! It seemed like too good a day to waste inside." Only someone from the North would say such a thing, really.
"Neil Perry, yep you have it right and you also have the advantage of me." He said in a good natured tone and cocked his foot against the soccerball in an unspoken queary to Peter about his desire to have a crack at it.

"Peter Pevensie," he said, jogging over to offer Neil a hand. "Sorry, I think we met in the Common Room one night, and that was it." He glanced at the football and started moving back again with a grin definitely saying 'let's play.' "We just need McKnight now. He's always ready for football."
no subject
"That's right! We did but...yeah, sometimes this school seems huge, despite it being on an island." He agreed a little ruefully and with a neat paw with the ball of his foot he kicked the ball backwards and then jogged back to catch it.
Putting some distance between them, Neil grinned fiendishly at Peter's expression and started to come towards him, dribbling the ball neatly between his feet as he looked for a way around Peter.
"He might hear the sound of sneakers on a soccer ball and come down yet!" Neil called out as he approached. His attitude was one of the more the merrier, especially when football was concerned!

He kept his feet light, watching Neil's body
not dirty omgfor clues on where he was going. Peter hadn't done more than kick the ball around for quite a while so he probably wasn't going to steal, but he could give a good run at least."With McKnight? Totally possible. Even if he's a Yank, he knows the good game."
no subject
"Hey, I resemble that remark." Neil called out playfully in response to the 'yank' comment but he was grinning as he darted after the ball.
"It's a bit overwhelming though...with everything else going on."
no subject
"Yes, well, some of you are learning," Peter said with a wink. "Everything else? You mean classes?"
no subject
"I meant more stuff like this past weekend...and the fact that my desklamp is now a blueberry pie."
no subject
"Hmmm, pie, yes, one of my library books is as well. Hopefully it'll turn back so the librarian doesn't send Zero after me with her mallet," He shrugged and started dribbling the ball at Neil, planning on cutting right once he got close. "Things like that always happen around here. We had pudding rain once."

Heading back to school she stopped when she saw Peter. Blushing brightly, she waved.

She paused when she saw Peter and someone who looked awfully familar.
