2nd Floor Common Room, Tuesday Night

The common room was decked out in Christmas lights and white streamers, all up very high thanks to Chad's help. In honor of the theme, there were torn out pages from mens' magazines decorating the walls of the room. And more than a few of shirtless men as a nod to those of the female or gay alien persuasion.

A sign hung over the entrance because the theme was important.

Not allowed in unless you're showing at least 50% of your skin

And yes, there were pies of almost every flavour imaginable, especially considering how quickly random objects in the room turned into pie.

"I'm pretty sure most societies frown on unchaperoned half naked parties too."

"Good point" she looked around "I haven decided yet fully what i think of it."

"I'm reserving judgement until I decide what I think the motive is."

"What motive could be there for half-naked people other then the obvious?"

"Embaress the new kids, distract from this weekend, some masochistic desire for detention from Ms. Frost, and the obvious." He decided to lay some of his cards out on the table. "Which personally I see nothing morally wrong with. Long as no one gets hurt."

"Oh there is nothing morally wrong with it, just embarrassing. There is a limit to how much of me i want random people to see, you know?" It was roughly at this point that Ami's eyes wandered off Billy's face and onto the rest of him. She kinda liked what she saw.

Billy understood that perfectly. "Oh yeah." he said, noticing that she'd looked. He gave no indication of that though. "I get that. But what we're wearing now, this just what we'd wear to go swimming right?"

"Yes." she said " And it is really weird that it is absolutely different then. context is everything isn't it?"

"Context does make a difference. I can't decide which context makes that suit look better on you though."

Ami looked down at herself and blushed. "Well, it makes it colder, if nothing else."

I know a way to remedy that.

"Well hopefully the sheer amount of people will warm the room up. Or maybe you'll blush hard enough to raise your temperature."

"If you say things like that, i might" Ami just blushed harder. "It does add new meaning to the concept of getting to knwo the student body, doesn't it?"

Billy snickered. "That it does. That it does."

Snickering was infectious and Ami dissolved into giggles. Which just made her have to sit down.

Billy decided to sit next to her. The couch might have been crowded. That's why he sat so close. Of course it was.

Close meant body heat. Body heat was good. And seriously, once one was already giggling, nervous giggles were easy to hide.

Yeah Billy hadn't noticed any chill till he was sitting beside her and felt warmer. "this any better?"

"Warmer" Amy barely managed to get a word out through the giggles. "Warmer"

Billy scooted closer. "How about now?"

"Even warmer?" Ami dared to look up at Billy but her glance quickly darted back down, to stare at her lap.

Billy didn't want to make her uncomfortable so stayed where he was. He did however put an arm on the back of the couch behind her.

Which Ami totally did not notice until she leaned back. At which point she jsut grinned.

Thus encouraged, he let his arm slip down to now drape over her shoulders.

Ami was just embarrassed enough to go with it so she just leaned into billy and absorbed the warmth. She will be mortified about it later.
