Fourth Floor Common Room, Evening

As had become tradition for StuCo sponsored events, a large table was off to one side, covered with snacks and tubs of drinks.

The chairs and couches had all been pushed to the walls, leaving the center of the floor open for the whose ever turn it was.

Isabel rushed around collecting last minute ideas for things to be acted out.

Marco grinned and sat down by Annette. "So what have you been up to?"

"You want the long version or the short version?" She grinned back at him.

"Up to you. My exciting life consists of a lot of video games."

"Okay. Short. There was an anteater that sat on my lap and watched tv with me. My door locked me out of my room and was nasty to everyone. And for my class on Thursday I was turned into a bunny. A real one."

"An anteater?" Marco asked innocently. "And you seemed to have gotten better."

She nodded. "An anteater. Weird huh? But it really seemed to like me. And yeah, no more bunny! But I was awfully cute."

"I have no trouble believing that. That you're awfully cute, not the anteater part. I'm still buhing over that."

She chuckled. "Thanks, Marco. You're cute too, but you know that. I don't know where the anteater went though. Poor thing. I hope its not just wandering around, lost or something."

"Aw, thanks! I'm glad that someone agrees with me! Maybe it was someone's pet?" Marco said without twitching, really.

She poked him, giving him a little chuckle. "Maybe. But seriously? Doesn't it need ants?"

"I'm sure it liked the pancakes as well." Marco said before realizing he shouldn't know that.

She stared at him, giving him a How do you know that? look. "...and you know that because?"

"Um...er...what can I say here that won't make me sound like a freak?"

Annette blinked. "Anything. Really. I'll never think you're a freak."

Marco leaned to make sure that no one but Annette could hear. "Iwastheanteater?"

Her eyes widened. "Get out."

"Um...yeah, see? Would it be better if I claimed the anteater was mine?"

"You were the anteater?" Her jaw might have dropped just a little.

"...yes." Marco said in a tiny voice.

"Okay. So I fed you pancake and petted you and talked to you." She stared at him, doing her best not to laugh. "And you settled yourself in my lap and I actually hugged you to my...chest."

"At least I was cute?"

Annette couldn't help it, she laughed. "Yeah, you were definitely cute! And I acted totally silly, talking to you."

"Hey, I could totally understand everything you were saying. Being an anteater does not kill my intelligence. Being an ant on the other hand..." Marco trailed off and shuddered.

"...you can be an ant?" Umm...

"...Yeah. Once. It was bad. Ants are creepy."
