Monday All Day - First Floor Lobby

Posters bedecked with heart-shaped clouds had gone up around the dorms over the weekend announcing the Valentine's Dance on the 16th  - Friday evening.

So Monday morning, Peter set up a table in the lobby with tickets for the dance, 99 red balloons, and a sales sheet for roses to be delivered on Valentine's Day to other students and teachers.

There were also heart shaped cookies, pink frosted cupcakes, and lots and lots of Valentine's candy.  Because this was for Student Council and food was a necessity. 

Now all he needed was people to give the balloons to and talk into coming to the dance.


[OOC: Handwavy getting tickets and just signing up OOC for roses is totally okay, but Peter has many, many balloons and lots of food to give away so come and chat! 

And the comments to the flower post are screened so no surprises are spoiled.  :D]

Willow stopped by. She took in all the supplies and decorations. "Boy, when you plan on treating a girl for Valentine's Day you go all out."

"Umm, yes?" Peter said, more than a bit confused.

"We should share these with other people though," Willow said, still teasing him. "I can't possibly eat all these cupcakes."

Walter was on his way out to class and stopped at the table. Roses he already had lined up, but dance tickets were another matter.

He grabbed a cupcake because, hey, food, and grinned at Peter. "You're a busy bee."

Peter grinned back. "I am merely a Student Council member hoping to do my humble duty."

"Without which, some of us would have very unhappy girlfriends." He paused for a moment remembering who he'd gone to the Valentine's Dance with last year. "Or boyfriends."

Neil happened to wander by in between classes and everything else he was up to today.

Pausing with a chuckle he gave his head a shake.

"This place really is the tops for free food."

"Good day, Neil," Peter said with a wave. "And it is, isn't it? Good thing too given the cafeteria's strangenesses."

"Hello, Peter." Neil said politely and the expression of concern that crossed his face indicated that he probably didn't want to ask about the cafeteria.

"So, they have you on Valentine's duty? That's awfully nice of you."

John wanders by, singing in catchy German about people overreacting to harmless things. And Captain Kirk.

Recognising at least the sound of German if not the words, Peter frowned after John.

Tori happened by the lobby after class, on her way back to her room.

She smiled at the posters, balloons and food. "Wow."

Peter smiled at the girl who he recognised sort of but didn't think he'd met yet. "I hear Valentine's Day is a big thing," he said in greeting.

"It is." Tori smiled and nodded. "Hi, I'm Tori." She extended her hand, semi-recognizing the boy at the table. "I don't think we've met?"

Annette roamed about the lobby, gazing at the festive balloons, cupcakes, cookies, candy, posters..."This is so nice!" Valentines Day was one of her favorite holidays.

Peter grinned. "Hullo, Annette. How do you do?"

She smiled at Peter. "Hello to you, Peter. And I am very well, thank you." Indicating everything with a little wave of her hand, she asked, "Are you responsible for the Valentine goodies?"

"Hey Peter." Billy smiled, approaching the table. "I understand I can sign up here to send flowers to someone?"

"Hullo, Billy. Certainly," Peter said, handing Billy the list and order form (http://izzyalienqueen.livejournal.com/64301.html). "There you are. And they'll be delivered to the person or persons on Valentine's Day."

"Excellent." Billy began filling out the form. "Say you and Willow have been going out for a while right?"

Alec came by, because there was food! And he was bored and couldn't change the channel on the TV upstairs. He got up on his hind legs, front feet braced on the table, to look at the food, trying to decide between a cookie and a cupcake.

"The cupcakes taste better," Peter said, blinking at the goat. "If frosting is good for goats."

Molly wandered by after Ethics. Spotting the cupcakes and cookies, she walked over. "Hey, Peter. Do I need to buy a ticket before I can get a cookie?" she asked with a hopeful grin.

"For you, Molly? You may have a cookie or even a cupcake without the buying of a ticket," he said, grinning back.
