Fifth floor common room, Tuesday afternoon

Nadia didn't have any classes on Tuesdays, so she was in the common room, sitting up with her laptop, the speakers turned up rather loud in an attempt to make sure she didn't unexpectedly fall asleep, as she tooled around the internet, looking for inspiration for something to do for Walter for Valentine's Day.

She paused every now and then to reflect that Valentine's Day had been a whole lot easier when she was single and didn't have to worry about weird traditions that she wasn't entirely familiar with.

Pippi was returning from her Heroing class when she noticed Nadia.

"Hey."

"Hey, Pippi," Nadia looked up and smiled. "How's it going?"

"I thwarted a bank robbery!"

"With your cleavage? Cool! How'd you do that?"

"With my cleavage I crushed the robber's gun."

Nadia whistled. "Nice."

"What are you up to?"

"Looking for something to do for Walter tomorrow."

"What have ya got so far?"

"Um. Nothing."

"He's hard to shop for." Pippi nodded.

"I know! There's too many holidays that require gifts."

[ooc: sorry, it ended up taking me 2 and a half hours to get home. . . .]

"It doesn't? Are you sure? Because all the ads on the TV talk about diamonds and power tools and stuff."

"Yeah, so I have to do the American thing for the holiday, right?"

"Well then I need to get something for Pip besides... How about a fancy cigarette case?"

"I bet Pip would like that, especially if it was water-proof and . . . grenade proof."

"I dunno there's time to find a grenade proof one."

"Well, water proof, at least."

"You could get one for Walter. I bet he'd like popping it open with his wires."

"Hm." Nadia thought about that. "Mayyyyyyybe,"

"...Unless you want to try and get him to stop smoking."

Nadia shrugged. "I don't care if he smokes. And when people quit they get really cranky. I don't want a cranky boyfriend."

"This is very true."
