Outside the dorms - Wednesday late afternoon and evening

Katara was not in quite as good a mood as yesterday due to certain evil teachers.  So she decided not to wait any longer to go build snowman or men or people.  Many, many snow people and maybe a snow turtleseal while she was at it.  And the nice thing about waterbending meant that any ice patches weren't going to bother her for long.

Not finding it cold at all, she had her coat unbuttoned and flapping in the wind as she worked.

Tori was totally up for playing in the snow tonight, so she found herself outside and ready to build some snowmen.

Luke was parked on the front stoop--where he'd been for hours, watching the snow fall--with his hood up and a look of pure wonder on his face.

"It's beautiful," he said softly.

"Tori!" Katara said, beaming. "Happy Valentine's Day!"

Katara spun in the snow. "Isn't it? Come, you should play in it!"

"You can play in it?"

Katara's eyes widened, and she ran over to try to tug Luke out into the snow. "Come on, we can make snowmen and snow angels and build a fort and all sorts of stuff. Oh! We could make candy too. Sokka and I were only allowed to do that on holidays, but it's fun."

Since Ami had wanted to use their room to cook Billy dinner for Valentine's day, Naomi was staying away from her room for that time. Playing in the snow sounded like fun so she was there.

Luke followed along willingly. "Show me how," he said, with a laugh. "I'm completely new to all of it."

Katara waved. "Hi! Did you come to make snowmen?"

"Hey," Naomi waved in response, "yeah, making snowmen sounded like fun,"

She beamed at him and nodded. "Okay, easiest thing? Snow angels." Katara flopped onto her back in the snow and waved her arms and legs to make the "wings" and "skirt." "See? Like this," she said, still making sure the wings were perfect. "Then you get up veeeery carefully," Katara suited her actions to her words and then gestured to the angel. "Snow angel!"

"Yay! I have this one started," she said, gesturing to the first ball of a snowman's body. "Want to help with this one? Or start your own?"

Luke tipped backwards, cloak and all, and repeated Katara's movements. "Snow Jedi!" he declared, trying to stand up.

And tipping backwards, adding a lovely rear-end print next to his snow-Jedi head.

"Two headed snow Jedi," he amended.

Naomi nodded, "sure I can help you with that one,"

"Excellent. Why don't you make the head? And I'll start on the middle body," Katara said excitedly. She went off to roll another smaller ball.

Katara bent over double giggling. "And a very nice two-headed snow Jedi it is."

Luke looked supremely proud of himself. "Not bad for a first attempt, though, right?"

"Excellent for a very first attempt at snow playing," she said. Katara paused for a second, struck by something. "You don't know how to ice skate either, do you?" she asked, aghast.

Luke shook his head. "Sorry."

"That's okay," she said thoughtfully. "I could teach you if you like! It's so much fun. Even better than snow."

Evie came out all bundled up, and smiled up at the sky, catching snowflakes on her tongue.

"Okay," Naomi said as she started to make the head of the snowman.

Katara grinned and tried not to cheat with waterbending at all as she finished her ball and carried it over to try to set on top.

"We should make a snowwomman too so he has a friend. And since it's Valentine's day and Isabel says it's about love..." Katara kinda rambled on as she worked.

Katara waved. "Hi Evie! Isn't it wonderful? All the snow!"

"I adore it!" Evie stood in place and spun for a moment, her scarf flying out behind her. "I need to make snow angels!"
