Lucas had a giant bowl of popcorn and was sitting in front of the TV. There was a documentary on, but the remote control was out of reach, so if anyone grabbed it they could probably flick over to something else.

Cassie blinked. "...okay, I'm worried that I actually might be worried you're serious."

Which just made Turtle almost collapse in giggles. She struggled to catch her breath, gasping for air. "You...you're safe. Really. Pr..." GASP. "Promise."

Cassie blinked again. "This is some sort of in-joke, isn't it?"

Turtle continued to giggle. "Clearly, you've never been chased by your own braid."

"Nope," Cassie said. "I've always been too lazy for braids."

"Probably a good thing, in this case."

And then a thought struck Turtle, distracting her from pretending Braids were Evil. "Oh! Can I braid your hair, then? I could use some practice."

"Oh, ummm... okay," Cassie said. "If you want to."

Turtle beamed a little. "Yay!" And then she moved so that she was in a position where she actually could braid it. "It'll be a little tricky, 'cause your hair is shorter than what I'm used to, but..."

She started pawing through Cassie's hair, straightening it out before seperating it into sections. Her nose wrinkled. "Geez, what kinda shampoo you use? You've got terrible split ends."

"Heeey," Cassie said. "It's not that bad."

Turtle's head tilted a litte and she started pleating the hair. "Do you condition?"

"I work out regularly," Cassie said, on a bit of a cross-wired point.

Turtle blinked a little. She knew that she really didn't know what she was talking about when it came to hair; she just said it because it sounded like something her mother said with her friends when they got together and had their stupid little chats over tea and strumpets, but even that seemed off. "Does working out help?"

"I... maybe? I don't think it has anything to do with my hair," Cassie said.

"...Then...what are we talking about now?" Turtle was really trying to figure out what shifted and where.

"I... don't know," Cassie said.

Turtle shook her head a little and hastened to finish the braid. "There." She had a hairtie around her wrist (never know when you might need a spare!) and quickly unwrapped it to secure Cassie's braid, and then leaned back to give it a look. She nodded. "Looks nice." Although a little sloppy.

"Thanks," Cassie said. "Was it everything you hoped for?"

"And more," Turtle said, with very fake sort of enthusiasm. "It looked beautiful, dahhhling."

"Maaaahvelous," Cassie replied with a bit of a silly smile.

Turtle giggled, beaming a little, bouncing as her hyperness maintained itself.
