Third Floor Common Room - Thursday Evening

Lucas had a giant bowl of popcorn and was sitting in front of the TV. There was a documentary on, but the remote control was out of reach, so if anyone grabbed it they could probably flick over to something else.

"Exactly! Too short to be Braided! It will confuse the Braids and they will flee." She nodded, as if it was the most logical thing in the world.

"Oh." Stark was still giving Turtle a very odd look and wondering if there were gremlins involved, somehow.

"Do we want them to flee?"

[identity profile] stocksgrrl.livejournal.com 2007-02-16 04:29 am (UTC)(link)
"Unless they make an anti-hostility agreement, yes."
stykera: (what a dork)

"Do your braids usually make agreements?" Maybe it wasn't a gremlin. Maybe it was a blow to the head.

"And you think my hair, lack of hair, will help?"

It might have been that Mr. Deadpool laced the turtle plushie he gave her with crack.

Turtle nodded. "Yes. You, sir, are correct."

That would explain it, yes.

"I see," said Stark, though he really didn't. But playing along couldn't hurt. "What do you need me to do then? To make these braids flee?"

[identity profile] stocksgrrl.livejournal.com 2007-02-16 05:02 am (UTC)(link)
That was a good question.

"Something...scary? To fightening them off with your unbraidable hair?"
stykera: (little frown)

[personal profile] stykera 2007-02-16 05:10 am (UTC)(link)
"Um," Stark said, very helpfully. "My hair just being very short is not scary enough for them? I don't know how to make my hair scary. I've never tried to make it scary, before. And I've never had to try and scare away braids."

Turtle sighed. "Just go like this:"

Curling her fingers, she held them up, flanking her face. She wrinkled her nose and, gritting her teeth together and drawing back her lips, she let out a growl. "Grrrrrr."

"See? Scary."
stykera: (angry)

[personal profile] stykera 2007-02-16 05:23 am (UTC)(link)
"Okay..." Stark said, then attempted to mimic what Turtle had done. He even "grr"ed a little.

[identity profile] stocksgrrl.livejournal.com 2007-02-16 05:35 am (UTC)(link)
And Turtle was greatly amused. "Hooray! You did it!"
stykera: (electromagnetic candy!)

[personal profile] stykera 2007-02-16 05:45 am (UTC)(link)
"I did. Do you think your braids will be fleeing soon then?"

[identity profile] stocksgrrl.livejournal.com 2007-02-16 05:51 am (UTC)(link)
"At the very least, the evilness that possessed it." Turtle smiled brightly. "I'd really like the braid itself to remain."

Stark grinned a little and shook his head. "It would probably be bad if your hair just decided to run off. But we're on this island, so it could happen. Do your braids get possessed by evilness often?"

[identity profile] stocksgrrl.livejournal.com 2007-02-16 06:00 am (UTC)(link)
"No, not often, thankfully," Turtle said, smiling to keep from shuttering at the thought of her braid actually just leaving her. "Just on nights when I'm a little too hyper."
stykera: (what a dork)

[personal profile] stykera 2007-02-16 06:03 am (UTC)(link)
"That's good. Evil hair would be bad. Well, maybe not for me. I don't have that much of it to be evil. But for you."

Turtle's head sort of bobbed back and forth with all the switches in there, but felt she had the general idea of it when it was finished. She nodded. "Right."
