Second Floor Common Room; Sunday Evening, 7 pm on: Tannim's Birthday!

Off on the third floor of Sunset Towers, beside Lake Michigan, in Westingtown, Wisconson, socialite and party planner extrodinair Grace Windsor Wexler might have felt a strange, sudden pang of pride for her youngest daughter.

Turtle had prepared the common room for Tannim's birthday party with a discretely tasteful collection of decorations, a snack spread perfect of any event of this sort, and a great selection of bad, cheesy horror films. Now it was just a matter of people arriving to enjoy it, especially the birthday boy.

Oh, and one other thing, in light of the recent academic of wee-tiny adults. She placed a sign outside the common room:

Tannim Drake's Birthday Party! Here!
Food, fun, and bad horror movies!

(Sponsered by Turtle & Canary, for all your shopping needs)
These movies are too scary for little kids!
No one under the age of twelve admitted!

And, being only a two years (and eleven months) shy of twelve herself, she knew that was just asking for the kids to flock. So she hired out the big Mexican kid to act as bouncer.

[[ yay, birthday! Please wait for OCD ROCK ON! ]]

Emma was starting to feel sleepy, so she headed for the place she'd slept the night before. Maybe Jack would come tuck her in again? She walked up to the door. But, there was someone blocking it... She tilted her head way, way back. "Hi?"

Chad lifted a hand in a wave. "Hello."

"You's big," Emma said, impressed, but not distracted from her mission. She pointed at the common room. "I wantsta sleep."

Chad looked over his shoulder to where the little girl pointed. "Oh. In here?"

"Ya-huh." Emma nodded. "Parkeijr --" she pronounced the name carefully --"Said I could!" Yesterday, but Emma didn't see how that could possibly matter.

"Oh." Chad frowned. This posed a prediciment, didn't it? "But Turtle's having a party in there today. Not much good for sleeping..."

Uh-oh. It looked like the cute wee tiny girl was setting up to either give him major pouting or major well-to-do. Both of which Chad was weak against.

"Boring big kid party, where they do boring big kid stuff. Wouldn't you much rather play out here?"

Chad nodded, in agreement with little Emma's pout. "Totally talky. No fun at all."

She sighed deeply. "Okay, I go..." She looked around and spotted Pam's open door (http://keds-champion.livejournal.com/3178.html). "Play there then. Byebye big man!" She waved and wandered off.

"Bye bye," Chad waved back, and went back to being all big and guardy.
