Second Floor Common Room; Sunday Evening, 7 pm on: Tannim's Birthday!

Off on the third floor of Sunset Towers, beside Lake Michigan, in Westingtown, Wisconson, socialite and party planner extrodinair Grace Windsor Wexler might have felt a strange, sudden pang of pride for her youngest daughter.

Turtle had prepared the common room for Tannim's birthday party with a discretely tasteful collection of decorations, a snack spread perfect of any event of this sort, and a great selection of bad, cheesy horror films. Now it was just a matter of people arriving to enjoy it, especially the birthday boy.

Oh, and one other thing, in light of the recent academic of wee-tiny adults. She placed a sign outside the common room:

Tannim Drake's Birthday Party! Here!
Food, fun, and bad horror movies!

(Sponsered by Turtle & Canary, for all your shopping needs)
These movies are too scary for little kids!
No one under the age of twelve admitted!

And, being only a two years (and eleven months) shy of twelve herself, she knew that was just asking for the kids to flock. So she hired out the big Mexican kid to act as bouncer.

[[ yay, birthday! Please wait for OCD ROCK ON! ]]

The big Mexican needed money after Valentine's Day set him back a bit, so he was happy to take the job as bouncer to keep the little kids out of the room.

Besides. Cute little kids. He'd get to play with them some more.

And there was a good chance they wouldn't have to try hard to get past him, either.

A weetiny redhead came barrelling down the corridor. "CHAAAAAAAAAAAD!"

Big Mexican kid! Wade bounced over.

"Where's Turtle?"

Chad blinked at the sudden ball of redhead coming toward him. Recalling what Parker said earlier about the fact that these kids were all teachers and townies, this made it really easy for Chad to figure out who this was.

This would be interesting. He gave the little Friz a wave. Clearly, she was testing the application of momentum.

"Inside," Chad cocked his head toward the common room behind him. "But no little dudes in. Her orders. Sorry."

She skidded to a halt in front of him, throwing up her arms as she posed. "HI!"

"I'm your teacher and you have to do what I say, now let me in!" Wade tried pushing past Chad to get in the room.

Yup. Definately the Friz. With cuteness factor increased exponentially by the decrease of size.

"Hey."

A big strong arm blocked the little teacher dude as Chad tried to figure out which one this was. It wasn't little Senor Deadpool, was it? Had to be; only other male teacher he had was Senor Mariachi.

"Sorry, little guy. I have my orders. No kids. She doesn't want to give you all nightmares from scary movies."

She bounced on the balls of her feet (somehow her outfit still matched, including her little Mary Janes and white socks) and her red curls bounced with her. "What's goin' on in der?"

"I'm not a baby! Let me in!" Wade was getting progressively louder as this conversation continued.

"Big kid party," Chad told her sadly. "I'm not supposed to let any of the littler kids in."

"Didn't say you were," Chad winced at the increase in volume. "But I can't do that." 'Cause then Turtle wouldn't pay him, and Turtle was going to pay him a lot.

Valerie pouted. "Why not?"

Wade stomped on Chad's foot. "I'm gonna get Allison to have you arrested! LET ME IN! TURTLE! TURTLE!"

Awwwww. Pouting wee little redhead science teachers made of awesome were not fair.

"To, uh, save you from boring big kid stuff. Not fun at all." He shook his head.

Emma was starting to feel sleepy, so she headed for the place she'd slept the night before. Maybe Jack would come tuck her in again? She walked up to the door. But, there was someone blocking it... She tilted her head way, way back. "Hi?"
