Off on the third floor of Sunset Towers, beside Lake Michigan, in Westingtown, Wisconson, socialite and party planner extrodinair Grace Windsor Wexler might have felt a strange, sudden pang of pride for her youngest daughter.

Turtle had prepared the common room for Tannim's birthday party with a discretely tasteful collection of decorations, a snack spread perfect of any event of this sort, and a great selection of bad, cheesy horror films. Now it was just a matter of people arriving to enjoy it, especially the birthday boy.

Oh, and one other thing, in light of the recent academic of wee-tiny adults. She placed a sign outside the common room:

And, being only a two years (and eleven months) shy of twelve herself, she knew that was just asking for the kids to flock. So she hired out the big Mexican kid to act as bouncer.

"You be nice to Turtle!"

And with that being said, Wade headbutted him in the groin.

Tannim let out an undignified yelp and doubled over.

Wade fled like a big fleeing thing. He only hoped Tannim learned an important lesson here about not being mean to Turtle or else he'd have to come back.

"Who the hell was that?!"

Little Deadpool charging in and headbutting Tannim in the crotch was a little difficult not to notice. "Mr. De-- WADE! What the heck!" She went to chase after him, but he was too fast for her. She flailed slightly, and then whipped around, inadvertantly whapping the doubled over Tannim in the face with her braid without even realizing it.

"Ohmigod, Tannim, are you okay?"

Tannim barely noticed the braid in the face. He was too busy trying not to be sick. "Yes," he gasped, not wanting to look like a wuss.

Turtle noticed that Tannim was looking a little green in the face. "You sure? Do you need anything? Water? Ice? Me to chase down that little brat and strangle him with a hose?"

"All three," Tannim said.

Turtle nodded, and fled, to return shortly after with at least two of the three requirements fulfilled. The hose strangling would have to wait. Maybe until after she, Wade and ~~Wade's girlfriend~~ Alison took over the town.

Tannim took a drink of the water and put the ice on his groin, leaning back against the wall. "Thanks," he said.

"'Welcome," Turtle squeaked. "S...sorry about that..."

"Not your fault," Tannim assured her. "Who was that?"

"Uh, that was Mr. Deadpool," Turtle frowned, wondering how best to explain. "He teaches driver's ed, but he's all little right now? Apparantly, a lot of the adults have turned into kids. I came into the store yesterday, and it was the same thing with Jane."

"He seems very protective of you," Tannim said.

That was one way to put it, yes. "Well, I'm kind of his minion. When he's....y'know. Normal."

By normal, she of course meant a grown man who ran around in a masked red costume.

"Minion?"

"Yeah! Y'know, fight crime, wreck havoc...stand around the shop and talk about stuff? He's also the faculty advisor for my club."

"Do you have a costume?" Tannim asked with a smile.

Turtle shook her head, blushed a little because she wasn't sure if he was making fun of her or not. "Nope."

Not yet.

"Too bad," Tannim said. "I think you'd look cute in a cape." Okay, he was teasing a little, but in a nice way.

Note to self: Costume must have cape.

"Uhhh, thanks." Biting her lip a little, Turtle held back too big of a smile before deciding to switch to a topc that didn't make her feel so blushy and silly. "So, you think you're recovered enough to make it to the sofa? We got lots of really bad old horror movies..."

"Sure," Tannim said. "That sounds good." He smiled at her and pulled himself to his feet, using the wall to steady his balance.
