Off on the third floor of Sunset Towers, beside Lake Michigan, in Westingtown, Wisconson, socialite and party planner extrodinair Grace Windsor Wexler might have felt a strange, sudden pang of pride for her youngest daughter.

Turtle had prepared the common room for Tannim's birthday party with a discretely tasteful collection of decorations, a snack spread perfect of any event of this sort, and a great selection of bad, cheesy horror films. Now it was just a matter of people arriving to enjoy it, especially the birthday boy.

Oh, and one other thing, in light of the recent academic of wee-tiny adults. She placed a sign outside the common room:

And, being only a two years (and eleven months) shy of twelve herself, she knew that was just asking for the kids to flock. So she hired out the big Mexican kid to act as bouncer.

"I am used to large thing stomping on cities. This is smaller..." She slid down off the sofa arm and onto the sofa itself. "How has your weekend been?" She had been hiding all weekend herself.

"Hiding. You?"

"Hiding." She smiled. "Wait, what were you hiding from?"

"Uhm, kids"

"Kids? What kids?" she looked around, noticing several. "Why? And where did they come from?"

"From what I hear, they're the adults turned into kids. They, kinda make me uncomfortable."

"So... they are all the teachers?" Ami chuckled. "Why uncomfortable? They are adorable."

"They are." Billy said. "But...they're a bunch of kids running around this island completely on their own. And having a better time being a kid than I ever got to."

"I am sure they are staying safe..." Then the last thing he said parsed. "Oh." She threw her arms around him, in a hug. "I'm sorry."

"I really hope they are." Billy said. When she hugged him he gratefully hugged her back. He was getting slightly more used to hugs. "Thanks."

"Anytime." She snuggled in closer, forgetting that her intent was to hide in the corner unseen.
