Fourth Floor Common Room, Tuesday Morning

When Dawn had explained to Sam why they were kitten-sitting Hunter over the break, he hadn't let himself get jealous right away. After all, it was much healthier to wait until he was by himself to get bitter and cranky.

He was still feeling kind of annoyed in the morning, but he was making up for it by sprawling out on one of the couches and teasing Hunter with a laser pointer. Scout was sitting by his side, looking far more interested in his new chew toy than the kitten-y entertainment.

"Damnit! I need to stop doing that," Jake said with mock seriousness. "Or who knows what might happen?"

Teddy snickered. "Shh! Don't say anymore! You'll doom us all!"

Jake put a hand in front of his mouth and nodded.

"So, what are you planning to do for the break?" Teddy asked, changing the topic from things that would cause bizarre invasions.

Jake shrugged, and, deciding that it was probably safe to speak, said; "Don't know. Watch Bitterwoman marathon. Drink a lot of coffee. Be very lazy and emo. You?"

"There's a Bitterwoman marathon?" Teddy asked, completely avoiding the question.

Jake nodded. "Pretty sure it's on sometime this week, yeah. Very Best Of or something."

"Oh." Teddy frowned. "I'll have to tape it."

Jake eyed him. "You're not gonna watch it as it airs?"

"I might be out of town for it," Teddy admitted.

"Oh. Okay, that's a pretty good excuse," Jake allowed.

Teddy grinned. "I'll be sad to miss it. She's like half of my comic collection."
