fandomhighdorms | Lobby: All Day

Posters had ~~whee handwavily~~ gone up in the dorms and town announcing two Student Council sponsored events during Spring Break. The first being Free Coffee Day on Wednesday, and the second, an Ice Carnival all day Thursday.

When people came down to the lobby on Wednesday, it looked like a set from the coffee shop in Buddies had moved in. In reality, the Perk had set up a second branch in the lobby and the beringed barista was there to provide coffee, coffee drinks (and tea and hot chocolate for the philistines who didn't appreciate coffee) as well as soup, sandwiches, pastries, anything a hungry Spring Break student could need.

The couches have all been moved into "conversation groupings" with funny lamps on wee tables providing light. There's a mix of reading material from terribly pretentious to comic books and just about any board or card game you could ~~mod~~ imagine.

[OOC: Open for getting coffee, chatting, modding board games. The free coffee's in the lobby so anyone is free to join in]

Setsuna also nodded. //"Obviously. Does anyone have a clearer idea of what happened?"//

Ami shook her head. //"No. No one really remembers much clearly..."//

Another frown. //"So you probably haven't recieved many answers to all your questions, have you?"//

Ami shook her head. //"No, not really. I was thinking of maybe hypnosis to remember, but no one really knows anything about it..."

Setsuna's eyebrow quirked slightly; that was actually a really good idea. Unfortunately, she knew nothing about it either. //"You'd think with all the different kinds of magic around here, someone would know something..."//

//"Yeah... I do not know too many magic people though... do you? Actually, anyone psychic might be able to help as well, or telepathic..."//

Setsuna nodded slightly. //"I've...not kept as good of tabs on the magical community at this school as I should have,"// she realized regrettably. //"But I shall look into it, definately..."// Already, her mind was going through the list of people she could remember being in DAMM or maybe in Hunting...

//"It's ok... It has never occured to me to ask if people had special abilities."// Ami said a questioning look suddenly appearing in her eyes. //"There is something you can tell me though. I remember Sunday night, and then I think Monday night at the clinic. And you were there. Did you find me somewhere?"/

Setsuna nodded. //"I went out to the roof; I was going to do a bit more flying, to see if the rain would effect my wings, and..."// Her face fell with worry to remember Ami at that moment. //"...found you there. Barely conscious, looked like you'd almost been through hell and back..."//

//"Oh... so i returned to the roof... How... how did i get to the clinic?"//

So Ami really didn't remember anything, did she? Setsuna blushed a little. //"Well, I flew you there. I...I'm glad I got there when I did, and that I was already planning on flying. It definately helped in getting you aid sooner..."//

There was a small tugging in her chest as she hoped Ami would take from that what Setsuna was thinking as she said it: that's right. I saved you, Ami. I protected you...

Oh. //"You... you did? Oh. I heard... i thought i heard the sound... wings beating... but i thought it was part of... oh."// Ami moved so as to give Setsuna a big hug. //"Thank you."// she whispered.

Eeeee.

Setsuna couldn't help smiling a little at the hug, a hand lightly coming up and settling on Ami's back in a shy, modest manner of returning it. Her face was burning red. //"Don't worry about it. I said I'd protect you, didn't I? It wasn't like it was even asking all that much, really..."// She shook her head lightly; take the damn gratitude, Setsuna. //"You're welcome, Ami-chan."//

But then she pulled slightly out of the hug with a frown. //"Part of what, though?"//

Ami smiled at her, very very grateful. and a little wistful that she didn't remember flying.

//"I keep getting all these images flashing back, but nothign that makes sense... I sort of assumed the sound was part of me remembering what happened... during the time i don't remember"// Ami said blushing.

Setsuna made a soft, thoughtfully frustrated sound, hoping to have jarred something in Ami's memory with the question, but apparantly not. //"It...it's okay,"// she said, feeling a little distracted because Ami was kind of cute when she blushed... //"We'll...someone will figure it out. Everyone here is so incredibly resourceful; something will work out...If anything, you're feeling better and it's over now."//

Ami nodded, still blushing a little. //"Yes, being able to nod my head without excruciating pain is a good thing..."// She smiled at Setsuna. //"I was up in the air and i missed it?"// she marveled at the concept.

Setsuna's blush was starting back up again, and she shifted a little, biting her lip. //"Yeah; your consciousness was drifting in and out..."//

//"I am sorry. I am sorry to have placed this burden, even unwittingly upon you."// Ami said slightly formally. But the formality was broken by her grin. //"But boy am i glad you were there!"//

Setsuna was just about to launch into a long dramatic spiel about how she didn't mind at all and she was honoured to be able to help, but Ami's sudden smile threw her off a bit and she stood for a second, blinking, not knowing how to respond.

Until a small, blushing smile surfaced on her face as well, shoulders sinking in relief. //"Me, too."//

//"I have no idea how i am ever going to be able to repay you, but if there is ever anything at all you need, you just say, right?"//

//"Really, Ami, it's not a problem at all. I'm just glad you're alright; that's all the thanks I need. And I'm glad I was able to be there to help."//

Ami grinned at her. //"You are just so nice!"//

Setsuna was feeling like the blush was getting almost painful. She chuckled nervously. //"Hey, what are f..friends for?"//

If not, you know, saving each other from possible near death and probable hypothermia?

Ami just grinned. //"I suppose."//
