Lobby: All Day

Posters had whee handwavily gone up in the dorms and town announcing two Student Council sponsored events during Spring Break.  The first being Free Coffee Day on Wednesday, and the second, an Ice Carnival all day Thursday.

When people came down to the lobby on Wednesday, it looked like a set from the coffee shop in Buddies had moved in.  In reality, the Perk had set up a second branch in the lobby and the beringed barista was there to provide coffee, coffee drinks (and tea and hot chocolate for the philistines who didn't appreciate coffee) as well as soup, sandwiches, pastries, anything a hungry Spring Break student could need.

The couches have all been moved into "conversation groupings" with funny lamps on wee tables providing light.  There's a mix of reading material from terribly pretentious to comic books and just about any board or card game you could mod imagine.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Wyatt didn't do it on purpose, I sort of got up in his face and his powers kicked in by accident," Anders said, and paused. "Abducted?"

"Oh wow. Well, I'm glad you're okay and that Wyatt didn't hurt you terribly." Tori smiled. "Remind me not to make Wyatt angry, then." She teased. Her smile disappeared and it was replaced by a frown. "Yeah. I, well Annette said she saw me in the hallway and a bright light above me and then I was gone. I still don't remember what happened, but Conner told me that he found me in the hall, unconscious and bleeding." Yeah, fun times.

"Oh, great," Anders groaned. "That's just what we need. More weird kidnappings. You're okay though now, right? You look a little beat up, but . . ."

"I am, thanks to Conner." Tori nodded, with a small smile. "I was treated at the clinic, just need rest and lots of fluids."

She had been lucky. "Lana was in worse shape than me, though."

"Anybody else get hurt?" asked Anders. "Wait, oh crap . . . Wyatt said he couldn't find his brother yesterday . . . what if they got Chris too?"

"Chris, too?" Tori shook her head. "This is worse than I could have imagined." She shuddered. "I wish I could remember what happened, that way whoever it was that's doing this, could be stopped."

"I wish I could help," Anders said bitterly. This on top of his uselessness with magic in the face of whatever the hell they were going to be doing to help Phoebe was really grating on his nerves.

"Just being here is helping, as silly as it may sound." Tori smiled reassuringly.

"If you say so." Anders didn't sound too convinced, but he did at least attempt a smile.

"When I find who did this, you'll be the first to know." Tori promised. "And then you can help me return their favor." She was mad, at what happened to her and the others. Payback was a must.

"Awesome," Anders replied, punching his right fist into his left hand. "Anything I can do to help."

He liked feeling useful.

Tori smiled. She was glad for his enthusiasm. "I just hope whatever or whoever did this, isn't invincible." It was a nagging thought that had been in the back of her mind, since she had woken up in the clinic.

"Even if it is, we'll find a way to deal with it. Someone will." He was bluffing a little, but hey, morale.

Tori smiled and nodded. "No matter what, someone always figures it out." It was the truth and she spoke from experience.

"Mmm, optimism. Almost forgot what that was like," Anders remarked. "Don't let me forget, okay?"

"Optimism is fun to have." Tori replied, with a grin and then nodded. "I'll try not to, promise."

"Thanks, Tori," Anders told her. "I'm glad you're okay."

"Anytime." Tori smiled. "Thanks. I was one of the more lucky ones." She admitted, with a rueful smile. "But, it seems like everyone's recovering, slowly but surely. I'm glad for that."
