Third Floor Common Room, Tuesday Night

Valentine stood back and proudly admired the pillow fort that he had made out of the couch cushions. He wasn't half bad at making them even when he wasn't insane by way of cupcake, he decided, and he might take up designing sets for himself more often in the future.
The only thing he was really missing right now was a low-fat non-whip soy latte.

And a cast, crew, script and camera.

He'd iron out the kinks later. Nothing could stand in the way of the progress of the magic of the movies!!


(Common room open, as common rooms are! Come in and be a star? We can figure out OCD as we go. ETA: As most of us have gone to bed, slowplay is now the name of the game to finish that movie. OCD is up for the filming itself, and I think we have pretty much all the positions filled. But if you want to show up and gawk, you can totally do just that.)

"You got a t-shirt?" Dawn was all kinds of jealous.

Rikku shook her head. "No, uh, that's what I was hoping the club would be for. We could make some."

"Oh!" Dawn felt a little stupid. "That would be a good idea--if we had world saving t-shirts, I wouldn't worry about ruining all my other clothes."

Rikku giggled. "Whoa, do you have to save the world a lot?!"

"Me, no," Dawn grinned back, "but I know people."

That got a grin back. "Wow. You're friends with, like, superheroes? That's pretty cool!"

"Sort of. Do you know Buffy?"

Rikku's eyes lit up. "Oh! Yes! The cheerleading captain, right?! I'm on the squad!" She bounced a bit. "It's all kind of fun, you get to be hyper and yell things."

"In another universe, she's my big sister," Dawn said, pretty proud finally about that fact, "and she kicks some serious butt."

"Another ... universe?" She looked at Dawn oddly. "Is that like ... what Alec was saying? Different times and timelines?"

And she smiled. "I bet she does. We cheerleaders are pretty fierce, you know." Hey, just because she didn't look fierce ....

"Yep, that's exactly what that means," she nodded, "and I know, I've seen the squad. Pretty decent fighters."

Rikku shook her head. "This fandom place ... kinda makes my head hurt."

"Hey, wait, you tried out, didn't you?" She clapped a hand over her mouth. "Oh, wow, that was rude. I didn't mean it like that. That - whoa."

Dawn cracked up. "Yeah, I did, but mostly because Buffy wanted me too. I didn't want to be there, so I, um, made sure I wouldn't make the team."

Rikku giggled. "Whoa, really?! I didn't actually see you try out. I just figured I wouldn't make it 'cause I kinda didn't know what I was doing. But I bounced a lot! That's good, right?"

"Cheerleaders are supposed to be very bouncy," Dawn nodded, "so, yeah, that's probably why you made the team."

"I hope so, anyway." Rikku laughed. "Why didn't you want to, anyway? 'Cause she's your sister and it'd be kinda weird?"

"'cause I'm a klutz who would be a really bad cheerleader," Dawn corrected.

"Hey now!" Rikku giggled. "The Spooooooooooooooon Avenger is totally not a klutz. And your sister's pretty great, I bet it runs in the family."

"I used to fall over the living room couch pretty regularly," Dawn said, "and Buffy and I aren't that similar, really."

"Oh. I'm sorry. About the couch thing, I mean. But I guess Brother and I are pretty different. I mean, I'd hope so. My brother's a dweeb." She rolled her eyes.

"His name is Brother?" She asked, "and, um, I guess I'm the Summers dweeb."

Rikku laughed. "Well, this isn't our first language or anything. I mean, 'the Yevonite word for "brother"' is a way better name for your kid than just, you know, 'Brother.' Like if you named a kid 'Tyikrdan,' it's pretty, but in Al Bhed we'd all be going, 'You named her Daughter?"

"And no, no, not that kind of dweeb. Really. His hair sticks up and he has ugly tattoos and he can't speak English but he tries and ... really."
