Sphere of Flame, with Gary Cooper and Barbara Stanwyck, was playing in the common room. Parker had appropriated all the pillows, a big bowl of popcorn, and about a liter of Diet Coke to help her in watching it.

"Nobody knew," Wyatt said with a shrug. "But I feel fine now. Except for the odd craving for mealworms. I'm more worried about Anders. He was acting kinda weird when I changed back."

Parker winced, rubbing the bridge of her nose. "Yeahhh. He didn't have the best time of it this week." She sighed, studying Wyatt and wearily wondering if he would be trying to kill Anders too. Again. God. "A lot of people had rotten weeks, though."

Wyatt nibbled on his sandwich, sinking back in his chair. "Yeah, I just talked to Phoebe. She's totally blaming herself, but I tried to get through to her that it wasn't her fault."

"Does she remember anything? Does she know all of what happened?" Parker asked, biting her lip.

Wyatt shook his head. "She doesn't remember a thing. She was asking me what she did."

Parker scrubbed her face with one open palm, and sighed. "I suspect everyone who knows will be showing up at her door saying either 'what the hell, Phoebe?' or telling her it wasn't her fault soon. God, I feel sorry for her." She shook her head. "At least I didn't hurt anyone, the times I got possessed."

"What, is it like a rite of passage here or something?" Wyatt said. "Is this something I have to look forward to?"

"Probably," Parker admitted. "Between people screwing up spells, alien invaders, and the Island just being screwy, it's happened to me about three times. The worst was the Queen of the Fae." She shuddered in remembrance of that. "But at least it only lasted one evening."

"I think I'll do my best to avoid that then," Wyatt said. "Things are weird enough around here without being possessed or turning evil."

"Smart." Parker gave him a sardonic look. "Good luck on that, though. You've got, what? Another two years here?"

"One and a half, I guess," Wyatt said. "I'll be a senior next year."

"Then as someone who's only got about thirty-some days before she escapes this place-- best of luck, and keep a camera phone handy for reverse blackmail purposes."

And Wyatt was suddenly glad no one had had a camera when he woke up with Anders the night before. "Thanks," he said. "I've got a picture of Chris as a girl but adding to the collection could be useful in the future."
