Sphere of Flame, with Gary Cooper and Barbara Stanwyck, was playing in the common room. Parker had appropriated all the pillows, a big bowl of popcorn, and about a liter of Diet Coke to help her in watching it.

"Hhhmmm." Turtle's mouth twisted thoughtfully. "I'm, like, a total noob, though. Never even touched a gun before..."

"That's why have people to help. Me, or Jack, or Nadia, any of us would be good to ask," Parker said. "And you can't be worse than Sokka. They don't have guns where he comes from, just boomerangs and bows and arrows."

A small smirk showed up on Turtle's face; the thought that someone could be worse at it than her was certainly encouragaing. Especially since that someone was Sokka. "So...Saturdays, you said? You don't mind a complete noob like me poking around looking for help?"

"No problem at all," Parker assured her. "Stop by, find me, you'll get the whole safety lecture, even if you're not comfortable firing the gun on your first visit." She smiled at Turtle. "Who knows? You might even find it fun."
