2nd floor common room, Saturday night

Miley had a busy day of eating, swimming, building sandcastles and hunting for lobsters. Now she dragged her pillow and blanket into the common room and sat on a couch. Looking around for a moment, she announced to the room. "I need a bedtime story!"

She curled up and waited for someone to comply.

"Serves ya right," Cassie said, shrinking back to normal size.

"I--I was just--(hic)--jus'--(hic)--tryin' to ch--ch--cheer you up! An' y--you started it!"

So she aimed a kick at Cassie's shin.

Cassie grew big again. "NO KICKIN'!"

Nadia cried harder. "Y--y--you're mean! I was--(hic)--I was--(hic)--bein' nice! You're a bully an'--an'--(hic)--an' that means I gotta defense myself!"

And she kicked again.

"I'm nah-a-bully!" Cassie said. "I was just pre-emptly dealing with you tryin' to POISON me!"

Nadia tried to say she just wanted to offer Cassie a lollipop because she looked sad.

It came out mostly stutters and hiccups, though.

Cassie shrunk back down. "You prolly killed Cap'n America, too."

"IIIIIayayagaughayayaeeeeeeeeeee!" Nadia wailed.

Rough translation? Well, it was pretty mean.

Cassie walked away. She didn't like people who were mean.

Nadia continued to cry.
