Basilisk campfire - Friday evening

Johnny spent the afternoon putting most of his stuff away, the rest he spent lazily sprawling on his bed. What? Unpacking was tiring work.

Now though, he wanted to have a little fun around the campfire. And since theirs didn't seem to be lit yet, he took the opportunity to blast a few fire rays at it and set it to burning quickly.

Then, pulling up a lounge chair, he sat down, slouching a bit and stretched his long legs out in front of him. "This is the life. Now if I just had a beer."

"I don't think the school would approve of underage drinking on campus. But the bar in town doesn't card, so you might get lucky." Lucas came out of the cabin after dropping his things off and dropped into a chair.

Johnny looked over and smirked, "Don't worry, no drinking going on here." Who was this guy? Campus security undercover? "Heard about the bar already from my big brother. I might check it out later."

"Sure, if you don't mind zombies and karaoke." He belatedly introduced himself. "I'm Lucas," he jerked his head towards the cabin. "Basilisk A, apparently."

"Say what?" Cause all Johnny heard was zombies.

"Basilisk. The cabin's named..." Lucas misunderstood.

"Yeah, yeah, I'm in B. Johnny Storm," he reached out with his hand. "But you said zombies, right?"

Lucas reached over and shook Johnny's hand. "Yeah, zombies. Well, that's what they call them here. Reanimated corpses is a closer description. I don't know how, but I'm sure there's a reasonable explanation for it." Yes Lucas, just keep telling yourself that. "They play at the karaoke bar every night. Caritas."

Lucas might notice how hot Johnny's hand seemed to be, but then maybe not. Some noticed, some didn't, but it was always fun when they did.

Johnny was trying hard to think of something to say that even remotely resembled brainpower. "Uh." Yeah, his mouth was kind of dry now.

After deciding between what she was leaving in her room and what she was keeping with her, Abigail made her way over to her cabin. Or, at least, she thought it was her cabin. But she wasn't sure why there were boys sitting outside of it.

"Um, hey," she said. "This is the Basilisk cabin, right?"

Johnny sat up a little straighter, "That it is." He grinned. "Wait a minute, you A or B?"

Lucas frowned slightly as he let go of Johnny's hand, but didn't say anything about it. "Fandom's a, uh, pretty weird place. They say you get used to it, but I've been here since January and, well?" He shrugged. "Not so much."

Haku returned from meeting his roommate back at the dorms, and smiled seeing a campfire lit outside. "Are you cooking something?" He asked curiously, holding his hands behind his back.

"Right." Okay. He could deal with this. With zombies. I've been told about the aliens, especially about a hot one named Izzy, but I think zombies might be a little hard getting used to. I thought, they like, try to eat you and stuff."

Ah, another cute girl, "Hey, and no, not currently. I, uh, don't have anything to cook." Now that it was brought up, he was sort of hungry.

"You in Basilisk?"

"Yes, I took the B4 alcove," Haku explained as he crouched near the flames to warm up in the slightly cool night air.

"They keep them chained up. And uh, yeah, Izzy's not the only one," he grinned, "But she's definitely hot. She was my ex-roommate's girlfriend. He's gone though and they split up, so I guess she's single."

Lucas raised a hand, but didn't manage to put together enough coherent thought to form words.

"Hi," Lucas said. "I'm Lucas." It was a tried and true method of introduction and he was sticking to it, no matter how boring.

"Uh, B. I'm Abigail," she said. "Are you in this cabin too?"

"I'm Haku," He smiled and bowed his head. "Nice to meet you Lucas." It might have been boring, but there was a reason it had been around so long.

God, he loved co-ed! "Hi Abigail, I'm Johnny Storm." He stood and reached out with his hand, "I am. Looks like were bunk mates."

And this was just getting better and better. "Chained up is good. Not that they could eat me, I guess. And there are other hot aliens running around this school?" Man, this was great.

Johnny watched her him, thinking she looked like a little porcelain doll. "I'm Johnny Storm..." and he leaned over, reaching out with his hand.

"I'm going to take that as a yes," Abigail said with a smirk. "I didn't realize the cabins would be co-ed."

Lucas had to think about that. "One or two that just graduated," he said finally. "But if you're not set on aliens, most of the normal human girls are...well, I wouldn't turn them away if you know what I mean."
