Basilisk campfire - Friday evening

Johnny spent the afternoon putting most of his stuff away, the rest he spent lazily sprawling on his bed. What? Unpacking was tiring work.

Now though, he wanted to have a little fun around the campfire. And since theirs didn't seem to be lit yet, he took the opportunity to blast a few fire rays at it and set it to burning quickly.

Then, pulling up a lounge chair, he sat down, slouching a bit and stretched his long legs out in front of him. "This is the life. Now if I just had a beer."

"I don't think the school would approve of underage drinking on campus. But the bar in town doesn't card, so you might get lucky." Lucas came out of the cabin after dropping his things off and dropped into a chair.

Johnny looked over and smirked, "Don't worry, no drinking going on here." Who was this guy? Campus security undercover? "Heard about the bar already from my big brother. I might check it out later."

"Sure, if you don't mind zombies and karaoke." He belatedly introduced himself. "I'm Lucas," he jerked his head towards the cabin. "Basilisk A, apparently."

Will grinned at spotting a familiar face at the campfire. "Hey, Lucas! Good to see you again!"

"Will! Hi. How's it going?"

After deciding between what she was leaving in her room and what she was keeping with her, Abigail made her way over to her cabin. Or, at least, she thought it was her cabin. But she wasn't sure why there were boys sitting outside of it.

"Um, hey," she said. "This is the Basilisk cabin, right?"

Johnny sat up a little straighter, "That it is." He grinned. "Wait a minute, you A or B?"

"Uh, B. I'm Abigail," she said. "Are you in this cabin too?"

Lucas raised a hand, but didn't manage to put together enough coherent thought to form words.

"I'm going to take that as a yes," Abigail said with a smirk. "I didn't realize the cabins would be co-ed."

Haku gave Abigail a nod, but after seeing his room mate was a frog, he wasn't surprised or worried about co-ed rooming. "Hello, I'm Haku."

"Hi, I'm Abigail," she said, waving. "It's nice to meet you."

Haku returned from meeting his roommate back at the dorms, and smiled seeing a campfire lit outside. "Are you cooking something?" He asked curiously, holding his hands behind his back.

Ah, another cute girl, "Hey, and no, not currently. I, uh, don't have anything to cook." Now that it was brought up, he was sort of hungry.

"You in Basilisk?"

"Yes, I took the B4 alcove," Haku explained as he crouched near the flames to warm up in the slightly cool night air.

"Hi," Lucas said. "I'm Lucas." It was a tried and true method of introduction and he was sticking to it, no matter how boring.

"I'm Haku," He smiled and bowed his head. "Nice to meet you Lucas." It might have been boring, but there was a reason it had been around so long.

Inara had gone for a walk by the water, happy to have the waves to focus on for her meditation, but was back now, and somewhat surprised to see people in front of her cabin. "Hello," she waved shyly.

"I'm Inara," she introduced herself.

Haku nodded in greeting. "Hello, are you in Basilisk as well?" He smiled?

Oh thank god, there was another girl. "Hi," Abigail said, waving back. "Are you in this cabin too?"

"Hi," Lucas said. He might have been staring, just a little. His voice also might have dropped in volume involuntarily. "I'm Lucas."

After moving her things into her own cabin, Will decided to wander around the campsite a bit and meet some of the other new students.

"That's a pretty impressive fire," said said, pausing by the Basilisk campfire.
