Curupira campfire area -- Sunday morning

Qui-Gon stepped outsiide and turned his face up to the early morning sun, enjoying the feel of it on his face. He closed his eyes and just let himself be for a moment, his own Force signature blending effortlessly with that of all the living things around him. This place had such a different feel than Coruscant and Qui-Gon was finding he liked it.

Eyes still closed, he began running through one of his favourite meditative katas, the movments only serving to center him in this place and moment even more.

Molly finally woke up and came outside to enjoy the morning. Still yawning, she sat down on the steps and watch Qui-Gon.

"Hello Molly," Qui-Gon greeted her, giving her a smile even as he continued with the kata.

"Morning, Qui-Gon," she replied, smiling around another yawn. "What's the exercise you're doing called?"

"It's name is the every so poetic 'Moving meditation #6' but I've always thought of it as Greeting the Dawn." He smiled faintly. "My old Master often teased me aboout being too much of a dreamer."

"There's nothing wrong with being a dreamer," Molly said. "I like your name for it better. Prettier and more descriptive."

"So do I," Qui-Gon said conspiratorially as if it was a great secret he was sharing.

Molly grinned. "Are there a lot of meditation things like this and do you have special names for all of them?"

"There's a fair number," Qui-Gon admitted. "Both meditations and actual fighting forms. I do tend to have names for them, even if I only refer to them that way in my head."

Molly put her elbow on her knees and leaned her chin on her fist. "Do you do a lot of martial arts fighting?" she asked, curiously. "I've only ever seen Anakin fight with a lightsaber."

"A Jedi does fight primarily with his saber, but we do train for how to fight if we happen to need to when our saber isn't handy." Qui-Gon gestured at himself. "Such as when one is attending an institution that has a no weapons rule."

Molly smiled. "A good point. They do let people take their weapons out of the gun range and the salle when we're invaded though. I'm just glad I never have to worry about it one way or the other."

"A non-combatant?" Qui-Gon asked. "Or an unarmed combat expert?"

"Mutant with super strength and near invulnerability," Molly told him with a grin.
