Curupira campfire area -- Sunday morning

Qui-Gon stepped outsiide and turned his face up to the early morning sun, enjoying the feel of it on his face. He closed his eyes and just let himself be for a moment, his own Force signature blending effortlessly with that of all the living things around him. This place had such a different feel than Coruscant and Qui-Gon was finding he liked it.

Eyes still closed, he began running through one of his favourite meditative katas, the movments only serving to center him in this place and moment even more.

While on the lookout for a good place to start his own katas again (he finally felt like his ribs were up to it), Billy came upon someone who had clearly already found their spot. He didn't recognize the kata so he watched quietly for a moment, not wanting to disturb him.

"Good morning," Qui-Gon said, eyes still closed and still moving through the kata's movements.

Katara emerged from the cabin intent on going back down to the beach and practicing the forms Haku had taught her last night. But she was distracted by the movements of the other boy. They flowed like the forms of waterbending, but he obviously wasn't waterbending.

She sat down on the steps of the cabin to watch.

Qui-Gon was aware of her presence as soon as she'd stepped outside, but he continued to the end of the kata, finishing the movements slowly and holding the last pose before letting his focus turn outward once again. "Good morning," he said, opening his eyes and smiling.

Molly sat down next to Katara and yawned. "Morning. Did you find your little sibling yesterday?"

Inara woke up early and went for a walk, trying to get her bearings and process all of the information she'd gotten the day before from various sources, and was returning to the cabin for either a shower or a change of clothes before going for a swim when she spotted the young student, doing some kind of moving meditation.

She watched him for a bit, and wondered if he would teach her. Anything to help her center would be beneficial--she got the impression that she might need it here.

"Good morning," Qui-Gon said, still moving through the forms. He opened his eyes and smiled at her.

Molly waved to the new girl and gave her a welcoming smile. "Morning."

Katara smiled at the new girl and gave a bit of a wave.

Warren wandered out of the cabin, watching Qui-Gon for a moment.

"They have martial arts in space?"

"It's a moving meditation," Qui-Gon explained, opening his eyes to glance at Warren, but not pausing in his movements.

"Morning, Warren," Molly said with a sleepy wave. "How's it going so far?"

Katara waved to the boy as he passed her on the steps. "Hi! I feel badly. We're cabinmates and I haven't met you yet. I'm Katara"

Buffy sat down outside with a cup of coffee, and watched Qui-Gon move and talk to people. She wondered idly if she could learn to do that. For now though she was quite happy sitting with her coffee and trying to wake up properly.

"Good morning Buffy," Qui-Gon said without breaking form or opening his eyes.

Adam was on his way back to his cabin after taking a handwavey walk around town, when he spotted another possible new student working out. Adam stopped to watched, intrigued by the unfamiliar kata.

Buffy gave him a smile and a little wave. "Hi Adam!"

"Hello," Qui-Gon said, glancing at the newcomer as he continued the kata.

Molly finally woke up and came outside to enjoy the morning. Still yawning, she sat down on the steps and watch Qui-Gon.

"Hello Molly," Qui-Gon greeted her, giving her a smile even as he continued with the kata.

Will sleepily emerged from the cabin with a mild case of bedhead, and stood on the front steps to enjoy the feel of the sunshine on her face. It took her a minute to notice that Qui-Gon was already out there doing katas. She leaned back against the outer wall of the cabin to enjoy the sun and watch him move.

"Hi!" Buffy gave a little wave, and held up her cup. "There's coffee inside if you want any."

Katara patted the steps on the other side of her from where Molly was sitting. "Have a seat, Will. Enjoy the morning!"

"Good morning, Will," Qui-Gon said, without stopping what he was doing.

Jaina came out from Chupacabra to hang out there, but when she sees people next door, she walks over to join the people watching.

Buffy waved hi to the new girl. "There's still some coffee I think if you want some," she offered.
