Cthulhu Campfire, Tuesday Afternoon (After Workshops)

Sam wasn't used to not having classes every day, and not having to worry about his workshops until tomorrow was making him feel weird. So, he went out by the campfire to get some fresh air and read one of the books he'd gotten for his birthday.

"May's not a good month, and I haven't heard from her, and considering my last letter asked if I could bring a bunch of people home with me, I kinda expected to hear back, which means that there may be something going on and I don't want..." Dawn stopped herself before she blurted things that really shouldn't be blurted, "I don't want her to get hurt when I didn't even know there was something going on."

Now it was Molly's turn to hug Dawn. "Is there anyway you can call?" she asked.

"Yeah, I'll do that later. She's probably out patrolling now," Dawn appreciated the hug.

"I'm sure everything's fine," Molly told her. "If anything had happened someone would have called you, right?"

Dawn just chewed on her bottom lip and looked worried.

Molly hugged her again. "Call as soon as you can and you'll see." It didn't matter if Molly really believed that or not. Dawn didn't need anyone else feeding her worry.

"Thanks, Molly." Dawn peeked over at her, "Cameron's gone, huh?"

Molly nodded, not looking at Dawn. "Off to California to see Veronica and then his parents before he goes to the Academy next month."

Dawn hugged her again. "He'll be able to write, right? And e-mail? And call? I'm sure he will."

"Eventually," Molly said. "If he remembers."

"If he doesn't remember, we'll just have to go remind him," Dawn said, already preparing the packing list, "and you can use the frying pan, if you want."

Molly grinned. "I think Veronica might have something to say about that."
