Cthulhu Campfire, Tuesday Afternoon (After Workshops)

Sam wasn't used to not having classes every day, and not having to worry about his workshops until tomorrow was making him feel weird. So, he went out by the campfire to get some fresh air and read one of the books he'd gotten for his birthday.

"Dean can I ask you about some of the things that happen here? 'Cause so far it all sounds kinda scary."

"Yeah, sure," Dean said. "What do you want to know?"

"Is it all invasions and scary monsters?"

"Nah," Dean said. "There's a lot of weirdness that's not invasions of monsters, some of which ends up being actually kinda fun. A lot of us woke up as kids a couple of weekends back and that was fun. And the invasions can be cute things too -- we had weetiny cheeping bunnies on Easter and there were wee clingy kittens last summer. And there was the pudding rain too." Okay, the latter was linked to the mummy thing but that wasn't something Robin needed to know.

Robin sighed with relief. "Oh that does sound like fun! Dunno how much fun I'd be as a tadpole, but all the rest sounds great!"

"You were an actual tadpole? With gills and a tail and all?" Dean couldn't help but ask.

"Uh huh. I just kinda stopped growing when I got this size. So far anyway."

"Well if it helps, you're bigger than any other frog I've come across," he offered. "Not that any of those talked. That I know of."

"Well technically they all talk. But non-Muppet frogs aren't really equipped to speak english."

"So there's actually a frog language?" Dean asked curious.

"Oh yeah, most animals have their own language. I know a little bit of dog, and some words of bear."

"I know some Latin," Dean offered, not to be outdone by a frog.

"Pig Latin?"

Dean chuckled. "Could probably manage in that too."

"I never really learned either." Robin admitted. "To tell the truth the one pig I know kind of rubs the wrong way. Regular Latin always seemed to complicated to me."

"It's a bitch," Dean agreed. "But it's what most exorcisms are in and when the family business is demon hunting..." He shrugged.

Robin's eyes couldn't get any wider, but his body language and voice totally conveyed boggling. "Really? Isn't that dangerous?"

"Yeah," Dean said with a just ever so slightly cocky grin. "But the Winchesters are really good at it."

"How'd you get into that line of business?"

Dean's grin went away. "A demon killed my Mom when me and my brother were little."

"Oh." Robin said awkwardly. "Oh I'm sorry." Muppets don't deal with death very much. Especially violent ones.
