Chupacabra Campfire [Tuesday Evening]

One workshop on explosions, one more day spent avoiding Luke and Gavin's back at the campfire. He's not hiding this time, but he's still prepared to run should anyone mention quarters or tigers or 'angels.'

After his workshop, he'd gone into town and picked up ten bars of chocolate. Yes, ten. Look, they might taste different, okay? Of course, Gavin's not thinking of chocolate plus fire equals a mess. He's too busy trying to decide which to try first.

"Hey Charle," Vi grinned. "That rocks. What's it like?"

"The job starts Thursday, but the store's really cool. It's got a new owner, and she just re-painted in these really bright psychedelic colors, and they keep cats at the store. Soooo cute. I think I'm really going to like it, Miss Valentine sounds cool." She smiled brightly. "So when we go window-shopping on Friday, I might not have money yet, but at least I can know what to save up for."

"I'm jealous," Vi said. "Not so much of the cats part, but of the music and the bright colors and the money."

"I'm looking forward to it. And I think Turtle & Canary is hiring, if you really want a job," Charlie told her. "I talked to Turtle last night, she seems cool. Although a little intense."

"Ooh, maybe. She picked up the phone during that help desk thing yesterday," Vi said. "And made me laugh so hard I forgot my question."

"I heard about that on the Radio, what were you guys doing?" Charlie asked, smiling. "Trying to get help, or give help?"

"Get help," Vi said. "They had to give it. Though my question wasn't going to be incredibly serious." She shrugged. "It was something to do, you know?"

"Sure. So you're liking the class? Maybe I'll take it next time it's offered," Charlie speculated. "Although, blowing things up today was awesome."

Vi shook her head to clarify. "I'm not in it," he said. "I was just calling in."

She looked apprehensive. "Blowing stuff up kind of scares me. Do you really make bombs?"

"Ohhh, okay, got it. And yeah, we did. ANFO and molotov cocktails." Charlie admitted, "I like fire? But the idea of it going everywhere... scares me a lot. Soooo, I'm taking the class to learn as much as possible about being safe around explosives or fires. It's great, because the Danger Shop doesn't let anything get out of control. But I still got to throw bottles of oil and gasoline on fake ruins."
