Main Campfire [All Day]

Chris was up early and decided to take his cup of hot chocolate, his notes, and the Book of Shadows to the main campfire.

He still hadn't managed to figure out what was attacking people in the woods, and after last night's radio, he was more determined than ever to figure it out before more people got hurt. He wondered if anyone else had had any luck. He hoped that sitting in such a visible place, he'd run into them and be able to ask.

[ooc: open to all; but primarily for the researchers/finale folks. If you need to be recruited for the finale, this is one place you can be (Conner's post which will be going up later is the other). I'll be AFK from 11:30 EST to 5 EST for work, but Wyatt has complete modding rights over Chris and will be here to help organize things ICly. Any questions, feel free to drop either of us an email!]

[ETA: *KICKS LJ* I'm not getting comment notifications, sorry.]

Mac leaned forward a little so she could see what he was doing. "I don't really know much about this magic stuff," she said. "But uh, out of interest, how does knowing who it is actually help you kill something that essentially seems to be invincible."

Wyatt leaned over toward the conversation. "If we know who it is, it could pinpoint a weakness," he said. "Give us something more to go on at least."

"Oh, so like the difference between knowing if I'm hacking a Windows firewall or a Linux one," Mac said with a nod, proving her ultimate geek status. That made sense.

[personal profile] blessed_twice 2007-05-25 04:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Wyatt nodded. "We know that fire hasn't worked well to take him out, but there might be something else that'll be more effective."

Mac nodded, this guy was sounding even creepier the more she found out about him. "I really hope something we're doing here helps," she said. "Having him out there wandering about--" she shifted uncomfortably and leaned to look over the list again. "Not a good thought."
blessed_twice: (Wyatt is determined)

Wyatt nodded grimly. "Yeah, he's already hurt enough people," he said. "We need to stop him before he hurts anyone else."

[identity profile] imac-kenzie.livejournal.com 2007-05-25 07:04 pm (UTC)(link)
"So much agreement with you on that one," Mac said as she looked over the list again, hoping one would just jump out at her as recognisable. "Any of these correllate with the names in the book?"

[personal profile] blessed_twice 2007-05-25 10:02 pm (UTC)(link)
"Not in the Book, no," Wyatt said. He peered at the list. "Anything in there about anyone who goes after couples in the woods?"

[identity profile] imac-kenzie.livejournal.com 2007-05-25 10:09 pm (UTC)(link)
"Uh, well there's this guy," Mac said leaning forward to point at an old newspaper article she'd pulled up the night before. "Jason Voorhees. Sounds like a creep if ever there was one, too."

[personal profile] blessed_twice 2007-05-25 10:10 pm (UTC)(link)
"Who is he?" Wyatt asked, looking at the screen.

[identity profile] imac-kenzie.livejournal.com 2007-05-25 10:20 pm (UTC)(link)
"Some kid, supposedly drowned in a lake at camp in 1957," Mac said as she looked over the article. "No body was ever found. The place was later closed down after the death of a couple there. Then there are subsequent articles, more couples getting attacked..." She shrugged, "It's the closest we have here."
blessed_twice: (Wyatt is staring at you and thinking)

"Could be a spirit looking for revenge," Wyatt mused, rubbing his chin. "Sounds like the best lead we have."

[identity profile] imac-kenzie.livejournal.com 2007-05-25 10:45 pm (UTC)(link)
"Well, I can print you a copy of the article?" Mac offered. "Maybe you can get some clues on what to do about him from that."

[personal profile] blessed_twice 2007-05-25 10:55 pm (UTC)(link)
"Yeah, thanks," Wyatt said. "Hopefully it'll point us in the right direction."

[identity profile] imac-kenzie.livejournal.com 2007-05-25 11:07 pm (UTC)(link)
"No problem," Mac said, and set about doing just that for him.
