Main Campfire, Saturday late afternoon

Johnny was bored. He didn't have any dates today. Or tonight. And man, that really sucked.

To pass the time he was making fat marshmallow men and setting them up for target practice. Yes. That's what he was calling it. Target practice. And they weren't really being set up, rather he was launching them straight into the air with a catapult, then blasting them with a fast fireball.

Laughing, he watched them burn up in the sky.

Johnny was easily amused.

But it still sucked that he didn't have a date for this evening.

(ooc: it's open if you like.)

Turtle was trying to distract herself from the new hair by trying to figure out if she knew Mac or not.

It took a second before Mac noticed the examination Turtle seemed to be giving her.

She gave the other girl a quick smile. She didn't really know her outside class, and that seemed as good a reason as any to put in some effort, so she added a, "Hi," to that smile.

No, she was...definitely familiar. Class last semester? Oh! Right! Science!! Man, that already seemed forever ago. Turtle waved a little. "Hi. ...Mac, right?"

"Right." Mac nodded slightly in confirmation. "You doing okay?"

"I've been better," Turtle responded, hand idly moving to her hair again, stroking the shorter strands. Her eyes got a little wide as she added, "Much better."

Mac paused for a moment, wondering whether she really wanted to ask. In the end, she couldn't really stop herself. "... what happened?"

Turtle held out the strand of hair she'd been playing with. "Had to get my hair cut." She was currently trying to figure out a way to explain why she had to without revealing it completely.

"It looks nice," Mac said encouragingly. "I don't like hairdressers, either," she added, wrinkling her nose.

"Last time I even got my hair cut," Turtle said, a bit sadly because talking about it was catching up with her, "was when Buffy made all of us go at the beginning of last semester and someone had to practically hold my hand through the whole thing. I only got, like, a centimeter off. Mister Deadpool took me this time, though, for moral support, so it was okay..."

Mac frowned sympathetically. "If you don't like it, it'll grow back."

"This is Fandom, so it might just suddenly grow be two foot long overnight," she added. "Weirder things have happened."
