Lana sat curled up on the couch watching TV. She was so enjoying being back in the dorms. Space, good solid walls, a big building, less bugs... It was all good.

Lana jumped about a foot, ending up on her feet looking thoroughly spooked. "Oh Jude. Hey."

It took her a moment to settle her nerves and sit back down.

Jude looked immediately sheepish for scaring her and started to right himself. "Sorry, bra. Didn't mean to harsh your mellow."

"It's okay," she said. "I'm still just a little jumpy after the whole being attacked in the woods thing."

"Yeah, I heard about that," he said with a little frown, flopping down on a couch to inspect his skateboard for injury. "Rikku was one of the people who went after him and she totally busted up her ankle and like wouldn't go to the clinic or anything."

"Sounds like her," Lana said with a smile. "She's pretty tough. Not like me."

"Aww, don't say that, bra. You're probably tougher than I am."

Lana just smiled and ducked her head.

Jude warmed to his subject. "Totally! I mean, look at this." He held up one twig-thin arm and flexed. Not much changed. "Total wimp. Even Rikku's dad thought so."

She smiled at him. "I think you're fine just the way you are."

Nope. Wasn't going to deal with the topic at all.

"Most of the time so do I," he said mellowly. Then he thought of the times he didn't and his ears went a bit red.

"So..." Lana said. "Summer workshops going well?"

"So far, yeah!" Jude grinned happily. "Okay, well, now I got glitter in like everything I own, but other than that - oh, bra! I stole the Mountie's hat!"

"You didn't!" Lana said. "Jude!"

"I totally did! It was awesome!"

She shook her head. "You are really too much."

She shook her head with a smile. "Never mind. It doesn't matter."

"Oh. Okay. Hey, how are you doing? I haven't seen you since . . . you know."

Lana blushed and ducked her head again. "Good. Much better than... then."

"It worked out kinda good?" Jude offered. "I mean, everything's good with Rikku now. Like, really good."

She nodded. "Things are really good with us, too."

"Like . . ." Jude shut up quickly, blushing more. "Nevermind."

Lana looked at him curiously. "What?"

"When you . . . y'know, I was gonna ask you about . . . stuff. But yeah. Nevermind."

She looked even more confused. "Ask me...? You can ask me anything, Jude. You know that."
