Fourth floor common room, Thursday evening
Dean had left his room, wondering if a change of venue would silence the music, which not so much.
Once I rose above the noise and confusion
Just to get a glimpse beyond this illusion
I was soaring ever higher
But I flew too high
Though my eyes could see I still was a blind man
Though my mind could think I still was a mad man
I hear the voices when I'm dreaming
I can hear them say
Carry on my wayward son
There'll be peace when you are done
Lay your weary head to rest
Don't you cry no more
He flopped down on the sofa and grabbed the tv remote, wondering if he could find something to drown it out. It was a good song and all, but there was only so many times through he could listen to it.

Yes it goes on and on my friends
Some people starting singing it not knowing what it was
And they'll continue singing it forever just because...

"Do you think there's anything we should be doing for Zoe?" he asked. "Or for Dad. I don't know if just sitting and waiting is the right thing."
