Fourth floor common room: Wednesday morning [before workshops]

It was a somewhat damp Karal who trudged into the fourth floor common room. He'd just come back from feeding Trenor, it was raining outside, and he had yet to be introduced to the concept of an umbrella.

This would be why he was damp, although damp might be too mild a term, looking at the matter objectively. Water was dripping down the back of his neck and off his curls, his shoes were squelching lightly, and his shirt was stuck to him.

Altra, who'd been fast asleep in the common room, took one look at him and started laughing so hard he fell off the back of the couch.

Karal sighed. "I need a cup of tea."

"Make me one too," Gavin said, just coming in on the end of that. "Just get out of the shower?"

Karal smiled ruefully. "Good morning, Gavin. In a way, I did," he said, walking over - accompanied by a delightful squelching - to set the water to heating. "It is raining outside. Rather a lot, though it seems to have slowed somewhat."

"Don't you have a shower in your room?" Gavin asked.

After the first of his trips down to Kraken cabin to prepare for tonight, Seely decided to wait and see if the weather cleared a little. He squelched his way into the common room.

"Seely! You are wet as well!" Karal: master of observation. "Would you care for a cup of tea?"

Seely shook his head, scattering water. "Is it tea like Aravis makes?"

Gavin just pointed and laughed.

"Aravis likes me like this," Seely replied primly.

Charlie blinked. "What happened to you?"

"It's raining out," Seely said.

"Hey, Karal." Charlie peered out the window worriedly, and wandered over to fix herself a cup of cocoa. "Do you think the rain is going to stop any time soon?"

"I am not sure," he replied. "I do hope so, or I am going to get just as wet when I go to feed Trenor this evening."

Charlie shook her head at the view out the window, then walked over to make cocoa. "I was going to practice today. I could probably do it in this, but yuck. Not much fun."

The old description "didn't have the sense to come in out of the rain" could be talking about a certain Tatooine farmboy as he squelched happily into the common room.

"It's raining!" he said gleefully.

Gavin laughed again. "And you're wet!"

"That's what happens when you stand out in it for an hour," Luke told him wisely.

Karal grinned at him, hair still damp. "Yes, it is! And you are wearing a great deal of it!" He pointed at the towel over a nearby chair. "If you would like to dry yourself, and would you like some tea?"

"Yes please to both," Luke replied with a smile, reaching for the towel and give his hair a good mussing.

It didn't look much drier but it was certainly sticking out in funny directions, which Luke felt was kind of the same thing.

Seely grinned and tossed his towel at Luke. "I noticed."

Luke snickered as he caught it. "Think I have a career in stating the obvious? It's worked for other Jedi."

"It does that," Charlie said, grinning. "Toast? Or are you going to go dance in it?"

Adam was up early and made his way to the common room, intent on finding some food.

"Morning Karal," he smiled, taking note of his state. "Got caught in the rain?"

"Good morning, Adam." Karal smiled and waved a hand at his still damp self. "I did. I had to go out to feed Trenor, and, well, this is the result. The distance between here and the stables seems much longer when it is raining."

Tori wandered into the common room, after having handwavily stood outside in the rain for a while. What? She loved the rain.

"Hi," she smiled at Karal and she towel dried her hair. "Looks like the rain got you too?"

"Hello, Tori," he said with a small grin. "I did. It did not want to stop long enough for me to feed Trenor, and so I am rather damp. Though not as damp as you, I think."
