The Roof, Thursday Evening

It was a nice night and Tori didn't feel like staying in her room. So, she was on the roof. Enjoying the weather.

And possibly plotting what to do about a certain temporary principal, especially after today's morning announcement.

Billy was still wearing his "QUESTION AUTHORITY, IT'S NOT JUST YOUR RIGHT, IT'S YOUR RESPONSIBILITY" t-shirt, when he came upstairs to enjoy the view. And, as it turns out, hang out with a friend.

Tori turned, hearing someone approach and couldn't help but smile when she caught sight of the shirt. "Hey Billy."

"Hey Tori, how's it goin'?"

"Okay, I guess. I can't really complain," Tori admitted, with a small smile. "Unless it's about certain administrative members who have a passion for pink."

"So those reports weren't exaggerated?"

Tori shook her head. "I wish they were," she might've shuddered ever so slightly. "How are you doing?"

"Jeez and I thought my dad was diabolical." Billy muttered. "I'm doing pretty good. Staying out of trouble for now. You gonna come to King's Dominion on Saturday?"

"I'm planning on it, as long as nothing happens between now and Saturday that prevents me from attending," Tori answered truthfully. "It seems like it will be fun."

"Don't jinx yourself, I want this trip to go better than my last few forays onto the mainland."

"Right, sorry," Tori grinned sheepishly. "I doubt anything will happen," she attempted, hoping to keep anything bad away until after the trip.

Billy chuckled. "Well anyway, I'm glad I ran into you. There's something I wanted to talk to you about." Billy had a list of people in his head that he wanted to talk to about this. If word got out, fine. But so far, it was only specific people.

"Oh yeah? What's that?" Tori was curious, she hoped everything was okay.

"You remember when I told you about my family?" mun is almost certain they've talked about it.

A.J. was feeling a little restless and was exploring (certainly not thinking of places for painting, hum hum) when he found the roof.

"Oh, cool! Roof!"

Too bad there wasn't a big neon sign to fix.

Tori laughed a tiny bit at A.J.'s reaction. She waved, grinning brightly.

A.J. gave a beaming smile back, drifting over. "Hello there, our fair Maria." Insert over dramatic and dorky bow here. "Enjoying the night, I see?"

Tori smiled, blushing ever so slightly. "Hi, I am, yes," she nodded. It was a nice night out. "How are you doing?"

"Doing good, doing some exploring." A.J. plopped down next to Tori. "I'm glad there's a roof. I used to go up on the room of the place I used to work just to sort of think and work and stuff. And this is a lot....taller than Empire was."

"Glad to hear that," Tori smiled. "Yeah, it definitely serves it's purpose. It's a nice place to get away if you need to, though it's not secluded ninja academy," she admitted.

And that made A.J.'s eyebrow quirk a little. "Secluded ninja academy?"

"Yeah," Tori let out a small laugh, grinning sheepishly. She'd forgotten some people didn't know she was a ninja. "Back home, I trained at the Wind Ninja Academy and learned water based fighting techniques," she explained, unsure if she should show A.J. her powers just yet. She didn't want to freak him out. "Not exactly a run of the mill story," Tori joked.

"So our Maria could probably kick my ass," A.J. observed.

"Niiiiice."

"Granted, of course, I...totally...went...to ninja school, too, you know," A.J. said in a way that showed how much he was making it up pretty clearly.
