Aravis was bored, but didn't want to be in her room when curfew hit if she could help it. So that was why a girl and her dog were sitting on the couch, watching the only thing that had caught her attention:

Telemundo.

She had no idea why the women who spoke in another language kept screaming, or why the men wouldn't stop crying.

"It makes all the difference in the world," Anne insisted. "Print out 'Ann' and it looks absolutely dreadful, but Anne with an e is quite distinguished looking. Some days, I feel like that 'e' is the only thing that keeps me from despairing that I wasn't named Lady Cordelia Fitzgerald."

"Well, I think it's a lovely name," Anne said, bristling just a tiny bit at the insinuation that anyone might think otherwise. "Although I'm not as disappointed about it now as I was when I was younger."
