Third Floor Common Room: Evening

After putting off homework as long as possible, Ron figured he could push it even further by investigating the common room and trying to figure out this Tee-Vee thing he'd heard about.

After finding the remote and smashing several buttons, Ron managed to turn on the TV to find two sportscasters on.

"Hi. I'm Casey McCall and this is Dan Rydell. Welcome to Sports Night."

Ron blinked at the Tee-Vee. "Well, it's nice to meet you Dan and Casey. I'm Ron."

"Tonight on Sports Night we're going to take a look back at the US Open."

"Would you mind giving an update on England's Quidditch teams?" Ron asked politely. "I don't get the Daily Prophet here and-"

"And then later we'll go over the scores from today's college football games," the Tee-Vee continued.

"Could you at least give me the standing for the Chudley Cannons?" Ron begged.

"But first a word from our sponsor."

"Bloody hell, can't you hear me?"

Cedric had never laughed about his 'death' before. Today? He did. "Think Harry will share that title?"

"I think Harry would ditch the title in three seconds flat," Ron said finally breaking into a grin.

"I'll have to ask him then," Cedric decided. "He was pretty surprised to see me when I saw him the other day. I might wait a few days before stealing his title."

"So... How did you get here?" Ron asked awkwardly. "Harry said there was some deal with a timeturner and Dumbledore.

"That would be almost all of it," Cedric told him. "I did actually die but that was changed when Dumbledore used a time turner to go back to just before the third task of the Triwizard Tournament and order me away from Hogwarts. I've only been back once since."

Ron shook his head in bewilderment. "That must have been a pleasant experience. Did you see any of us?"

"Not when I went home," he said. "I saw Dumbeldore. Snape, oddly enough. And Professor McGonagall briefly."

"Of all people you had to see, I'm sorry to hear it was Snape," Ron said rolling his eyes. "Though I guess with how your death being linked to Voldemort's reappearance it would kind of discredit Harry and Dumbledore if you suddenly showed up."
