Second Floor Common Room - Tuesday Night

Meg was bored. Bored, bored, bored. She was far too used to having class five days a week. She had on her pj's (a green tank top and Neptune High cheerleader shorts) and was lounging on the couch. One leg was laid out in front of her and the other was hanging off the side of the couch. Not the most lady-like of poses, but she was feeling lazy. She was flipping through the channels, hoping there was something decent on.

"Oooh! Blue Planet!"

"Blue Planet. Hope you like documentaries." Meg said. So far it looked like they were covering coral reefs tonight. "How have you been, Isabel?"

"I do actually. Did you ever see the IMAX movie? Deep Sea 3D?" Isabel asked. "It's really cool. Like this, but it feels like you have jellyfish trying to swim in your lap."

Settling back into the couch cushions, she got comfortable. "I'm doing okay. Keeping busy mostly."

"I love seeing things on IMAX. The best one I've seen was on Mt. Everest." she said. "It's worth the drive to L.A."

"Keeping busy? How?" she asked. "I've been bored out of my mind all week! I'm not used to these lack of classes."

"That one was neat," she nodded. "Did you know they were filming that when that horrible storm came up and all those people died? The crew shared their oxygen and helped save a few people."

"Well I had two classes yesterday, I handwavily hit the gym today, then I spent some time visiting people in town. I work on Thursdays. Plus I do a lot of reading."

"That's so cool!" Meg made a face and shook her head. "I mean, not cool but still...interesting. Yes, that's a much better word."

"Ah, that's what I need to do. Meet more people so I can visit them in town." she said. "Expand my social network."

"Yeah, I thought it was. They had to make the choice and put themselves at risk to help, and they did," Isabel replied. "The book was called Into Thin Air. It's a good read."

"Meeting people is easy. The party was a good start. Sorry I didn't get a chance to talk to you then."

Meg could believe it. She wouldn't be surprised if the school was alive or something. "I had a lot of fun! I didn't dance, wasn't really in the mood, but I did see a lot of shirtless guys. That was nice."

"Wasn't it? River was all about the dancing. I'll admit it, I'm shallow, I was there for the shirtlessness," Isabel admitted. "Did you see anyone particular?"

"Is he now? That's very interesting." she said with a grin. "I was trying to keep away from the dating scene when I came here but nobody warned me about the cute guy population here."

"Isn't it great?" Isabel grinned. "At least now there's enough guys that want to date girls. When I first got here? It seemed like they were all dating each other."

Meg smiled and shook her head. "No, I didn't do anything. Dick says that he's going to be punished enough by dating Veronica Mars. I wish I had done something though."
