Third floor common room, Thursday evening

Why yes, that was a motorcycle in the common room. And yes, that was the floor length common room window opened as wide as it would go. And that was in fact a guy dressed in a very nice looking white leather racing suit with orange flames decals on it.

If it looked like he was preparing to do something very stupid in very public area, that was probably a trick of the light.

Hoshi hadn't planned on stopping on the third floor, but how could she miss this? "Okay, I'm starting to think this is the fun floor."

Johnny didn't recognize Hoshi, but he still waved excitedly at her anyway.

"Stick around. There should be quite a show comin' up."

"I won't be expected to participate, will I?" asked Hoshi, warily looking at the motorcycle. "This looks a bit more difficult than the slip and slide thing from the other night."

He shook his head in response.

"Nah. Wouldn't let anyone who hasn't had any training try this. Jus' gonna be me an' him--" He jerked his thumb back towards Blackheart. "--doin' this."

"For the record, I think you're insane," Hoshi said. She felt obligated to say it.

"You're probably right," Johnny answered. " 'M Johnny Blaze, by the way. Don't think I caught yours earlier."
