Salle [after Fencing Club]

Luke trotted into the salle with his unlit lightsaber in his right hand and a "CAUTION: LIVE WEAPONS" sign in his left.

He slapped the sign onto the door and waited for Jaina to arrive, bouncing slightly on his toes.

[OOC: Luke's here for Jaina, but the salle is open for your ~~Jedi ogling~~ swordfighting skills needs.]

Jaina arrived not too long after, lightsaber at her belt, feeling much more comfortable with it on her. "Am I late?" she greeted him.

"Not at all," Luke said with a smile, "I was early."

"I always try to get here early and it never seems to work," she smiled.

"It's part of my incredible Jedi skills I've never shared with you," Luke teased.

"I always knew you were holding out on us," she said. No, she didn't. "Feeling ready for me to beat you?" No, she wouldn't.

Luke gave her a bright smile. "If you think that's what's going to happen, I won't break your delusions this early on," he said, rolling out his shoulders and then trotting to the center of the room, holding his lightsaber loosely and unlit in his right hand.

He wanted her to make the first move.

Jaina met him in the center of the room, holding her weapon in front of her before igniting it, and waiting for a moment before striking straight-on. Start off easy.

Luke had his weapon ignited and blocking faster than most people could blink. He smiled at her proudly, then began a basic series of parries.

She'd been expecting speed, though it had been long enough since they'd sparred that Jaina had forgotten how much speed. It didn't take long at all to recover, blocking fairly easily and using the first opportunity she had for an offensive shot.

"Nice," Luke praised, ducking out of the way and using that momentum to aim a swing towards her legs.

"Thank you," she said, quickly stepping back to dodge that, and trying to catch his blade with hers.

They met with an electric crackle and Luke smiled more. "I kind of love that sound," he admitted, beginning to speed up a bit.

"That explains a lot," Jaina smiled, speeding up to match him as best as she could.

"Does it?" Luke asked, grinning as he aimed a slash at her head.

She blocked, a bit choppy in her form, trying to knock his lightsaber away from her head. "I need that," she told him.

"Watch yourself," he said quietly, catching his movement before her hurt her accidentally. "Your mom'll be upset if I send you home shorter."

"That'll take some explanation, too," she said, taking half a step back for some distance, and waiting for him to make the next move.

Luke swung out towards her right hand, intending to get her to drop her weapon.

Or cut off her arm. With Jedi it was kind of the same theory.

Jaina let go, spinning out of the way and calling the lightsaber back to her hand about a second after it hit the ground, reigniting it quickly.

"Good," Luke said, flipping backwards and out of the way and waiting for her to advance.

Jaina smiled a little, but focused, bringing her lightsaber in from a side-swipe while stepping forward.

Luke countered with a flick of his wrist that could use a little bit of work. Backhand wasn't his strength.

Luke flashed him a grin. "A very controlled fight, but yeah," he agreed.

Sokka shrugged. "Hey, I'm just here for the glow-y sword things. Fight however you want."
