Fourth Floor Common Room, Tuesday Evening

Adam was in the mood to just hang out, after working at Wonders of the World. So he made some popcorn and took a seat on the couch, trying to find something worth watching.

Oh, look. An episode of Abaranger was on. Adam boggled a lot less this time around, but there was still a little bit of staring as the opening credits began.

Hoshi was starting to feel cramped in her room after what happened this afternoon with Jack (http://itsjustlanguage.livejournal.com/3053.html), so she walked into the common room to see what was up.
"Whoa, what is that?" she asked, looking at the television.

"Honestly? I'm not exactly sure," Adam frowned slightly, watching the television with a mixed expression of horror and fascination. "It's supposedly a series that's big in Japan."

"Well, it's certainly not from my Japan," said Hoshi. "I've never seen anything like it."

"I'm not sure when it was made, but I never heard of it until I came here," he admitted.

"It's weird, but everything else here seems weird to me, like this homecoming thing," said Hoshi.

Faile stared at the TV when she walked into the room. "What is that?" she asked with curious confusion.

"Something about superheroes saving the world from creepy alien invaders," Adam explained. At least, that's what he'd gathered from watching it the first time.

"It's very... colorful," Faile commented.

"That's one way of putting it," Adam smirked. "I don't think we've met, I'm Adam."

"I'm called Faile," she replied. "So, what is a superhero anyway?"

"Hi, I'm Hoshi," she said to the other girl. "We haven't met, have we?"

"Hello, Hoshi," Faile said, hesitating over the name for just a moment. "No, I tend to keep to myself a lot. I'm called Faile. It's good to meet you."

"It's good to meet you too. I tend to stay to myself also, but sometimes I just need to escape my room," said Hoshi.

Faile grinned. "That is exactly how I felt tonight."

Jim liked the fourth floor common room last night, so he made a return trip to it.

"Hi, everyone," Jim said, walking in.

"Hey," Adam turned and waved at Jim from the couch. "How's it going?"

"Not bad. Rockies won last night, so I'm happy," Jim said.

"Thanks," Jim said. "But the good stuff starts tomorrow."

Faile eyed the boy who had claimed to be a vampire when she'd first met him. She nodded in greeting.

"Hey," Jim said. "Faile, right?"

Faile nodded. "And you are Jim. Are you still a vampire?" she asked.

The voice sounded familiar to her sensitive ears. "You're on the radio, right?" Hoshi asked.

"Yep. I'm Pam Beesly," Jim said. "Nice to meet you."

Jim didn't know why he did these things.

Hoshi raised an eyebrow. "Nice to meet you, Pam. Aren't you in Professor Stinson's class too?"
