Claire had acquired a knight. She hadn't meant to, but she'd been sitting on the couch watching TV and he had ventured into her hair, apparently deciding it looked like a likely place to find a Grail.

Now she was trying to untangle a tiny panicking horse from of her ponytail while its rider kept trying to cut her fingers off. It was annoying.

"And my secrets all have to do with demon hunting," Dean said smoothly. "I've also done some work in making sure people aren't going to get my secrets without my permission."

Claire shrugged, not wanted to get into an argument about it.

"And number two?"

"He'd have to go after everyone on the island if he started doing that, and if he's a smart man, he wouldn't even start," Dean said. "And you've never said he was stupid."

"No one else knows," Claire pointed out. "Just you and Peter, and Sam if he's guessed. He'd take me out of school at the least."

"I haven't said anything to Sammy," Dean said. "So just me and Peter, I'd guess. And he won't learn anything from me. I promise." He held up a hand. "Scout's honour. Which hey, I can totally say seriously now!"

Claire grinned at that last, "Me too," she remarked.

"Just... steer clear, OK? To be safe. He's already taken one of my friends away from me."

"He won't take me. I promise. You're stuck with me."

Claire grinned, but rolled her eyes at the same time.

"Great, that's all I need."

"Hey, I'll have you know that I'm a great guy and you should be happy to be stuck with me," Dean said with mock indignation.

Claire was smirking as she nodded.
