Fifth Floor Common Room: Monday Afternoon

It was an exciting Monday afternoon in the common room. There was a Space Battles marathon on the movie channel and absolutely no classes to worry about.

Andrew and John were sitting on the sofa, engrossed in the program. And probably geeking out a little. "Dude, Hanno totally shot first, I hate when they show the special edition," John complained. Okay, a lot.

Marco was bored, which was enough reason for him to wind up in a common room that was not his. "Oh hey, is that the first one? I mean, the real first one?"

"It is," John replied. "Can you give me a soda?" That was never gonna get old.

"Sure? Got a prefarance?" Marco walked over to the fridge and grabbed a cola for himself.

"Aw, it's no fun if you don't become a vending machine to do it," John said woefully. "But since you're up I'll take a cola."

Marco tossed a cola at John's head. "Dude, still not selling kidneys or whatever." He paused. "Ew."

John made an impressive catch and grinned. "I still say it would've been cool."

Marco considered this. "Okay, so in theory I can regrow a kidney and all that. But still, soda that tastes like kidneys? Human kidneys?"

"Why would it have to taste like kidneys?" he asked. "Wouldn't it taste like whatever you made it into?"

"You know? I have no clue. Generally I change into animals, and they don't give out soda." Marco admitted.

"Oh, what kinds of animals? Like a giraffe? Or a cricket?"

Marco smiled. "A gorilla. And a polar bear." He didn't mention the poodle.

"Interesting combinations," he said. "How's it happen?"

Marco tried to summarize things in a way that made sense. "Long story that involves blue deer, a few presidents, and my best friend."

"Hi Marco. This nice boy was just telling me it is the fourth one, which means it is the first one." Anemone pointed at Jim and shrugged. "I've never seen it before, so I wouldn't know for sure."

Marco nodded. "Exactly! Because the fourth one comes before the first one." He wasn't even trying to make sense.

Which was fine with Anemone, sense was over-rated. "Is it good? I haven't seen this one before."

"Is it good? Is it good?! Is water wet? Seriously, this is one of the best movies ever made."

"Really? Cool." Anemone patted the floor next to her, if Marco needed a place to sit. "I need to find a list of culturally important movies or something. I'd never heard of this one before today."

Marco flopped down on the floor. "Well, this is one is right at the top. ET meta is up there too."
