Fifth Floor Common Room: Monday Afternoon

It was an exciting Monday afternoon in the common room. There was a Space Battles marathon on the movie channel and absolutely no classes to worry about.

Andrew and John were sitting on the sofa, engrossed in the program. And probably geeking out a little. "Dude, Hanno totally shot first, I hate when they show the special edition," John complained. Okay, a lot.

"Come on, you'd get a cut of DVD sales, too," Jim said.

"Well, that's no fun," Jim said. "You do realize that you're passing up midgets, right?"

"Yes. But I'm also saving a ton on blood pressure meds."

"Hmm. Point taken," Jim said.

"Plus I'd end up killing you eventually. I don't think you want that."

"Empty threats," Jim said. "And I can be completely serious when it comes to work. I get good grades." Not as good as he should, really, but that's only because he couldn't ever be completely serious when it came to work. So, yeah, it was a lie.

"What? I can do serious," Jim said. "I just rarely choose to."

"It's true. I'll tell you what, this week on radio? I will be completely serious the entire time," Jim said.

He'd have to talk to Pam about being extra silly to make up for that.
