2nd floor common room, Tuesday after classes

Johnny was bored. Johnny overturned two empty trash cans and laid a piece of board across the top. Then, because yes, he was bored, he made a bunch of paper people, lining them up across the wooden plank. For their sake, he didn't try to name them.

Sitting on the couch, one by one he sent a fireball towards them, torching them, watching them lift in the air and burn until there was nothing left. Yes, he was playing with fire but he was very safe, really. Nothing was catching on fire except for his mini-paper people. How cool was that?

"Yes! Take that you with the cur--" No, he wasn't going to say it cause he didn't mean it. Seriously. He did not name his paper dolls, come on!

"Flying is just awesome." Marco said absentmindedly. "Not that I would know what that's like." He added hastily.

Johnny cocked his head. "Yeah you do, come on, give over... tell me when you've flown and how can you fly?"

"In a plane?" Marco tried weakly, and then realized he'd never actually flown in a plane.

Johnny snorted. "Bit weak there, dude. Give over. Tell me. I'm just curious," he said, because maaaan! He thought he was the only one who could fly here at the school.

"Are you an alien or from a world that has aliens?" Marco asked, partially stalling.

"Last time I checked? No. I'm from Earth, God Bless America and New York City." A-hem.

"Riverside, California for me." Marco said. "We get Hollywood. And aliens. So I uh, I can change into a bird. But I'm not an alien!"

"Seriously?" Man, that was awesome. "Do it." Cause Johnny had to see it with his own eyes.

"Come by the common room tomorrow." Marco promised.

"An invite to see if you'll notice something weird." Marco confirmed, trying to decide between the llama, polar bear, and monkey.

Johnny would probably laugh his ass off at the llama. Just cause. "I'll be there. Count on it."

It was down to the llama and the chimp now. The poodle would work, but he really, really hated that damn thing. "Awesome."

Especially if it was yappy. Johnny might have to singe its ears.
